When I went to church they were talking about this passage.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is a lot to take in on that one verse:
Conditions:
You have to be called by His name
You have to humble yourself
You have to turn from your wicked ways
You have to pray
Rewards:
He will hear from Heaven
He will heal your land
He will forgive your sins
Sure there are the verses like Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” and John 14:14 “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” But you have to look at the context and conditions of the statements.
The condition? You have to have faith and you have to be LIKE JES
US!!!
So joyfully I say that I strive to be like Him that I may bring glory to the Father and have the things which I ask in His name come to pass…and these aren’t prayers for stuff. These are prayers for everyday necessities like health and prosperity in the Spirit.
I love searching through and finding nuggets that I have missed or glossed over. These are such important fundamentals.
