I just read some disturbing news about a bipolar youth who was tazed to death in Jerseyville. He had been sitting outside a Walgreens with a Bible in his hands screaming for Jesus and his mother. I think it is sick that five policemen thought it was alright to shoot him with 5 tazers and then proceed to continuously fry his body.

People who knew the 17 year old have been crying with outrage since this happened. Here is a post that was published yesterday. Here is another tha
t was posted by his friend on Myspace on the 29th of October.

They are trying to claim that he died from his “dementia” but that is not the case.

Mother gets 32 years in prison for killing her 3 month old son.The woman said she was suffering from Bipolar and Postpartum at the time of the attack on her child. The defense was that she was on medication that did not allow her to be conscious of what she was doing to her child.

NEW: Seroquel has been approved to treat both manic and depressive episodes in Bipolars. This drug is produced by AstroZeneca and is now the only drug available to treat both symptoms of the disorder. I will be keeping my eye out to see what other news there is about this drug as it becomes more widely use
