Our ceremonies bring out the best in us. It’s in the ceremony that we find the place of honor and respect for each other. The place where the men honor the women and the women honor the men. We dance for each other. The ceremony helps us remember our responsibility toward each other. Men and women need to be strong, to love one another and be faithful. Only by doing this can we give our children knowledge of good relationships.
Great Spirit, today I will notice the power of the women; today I will notice the power of the men.

The Elders say the Native American women will lead the healing among the tribes. We need to especially pray for our women, and ask the Creator to bless them and give them strength. Inside them are the powers of love and strength given by the Moon and the Earth. When everyone else gives up, it is the women who sings the songs of strength. She is the backbone of the people. So, to our women we say, sing your songs of strength; pray for your special powers; keep our people strong; be respectful, gentle and modest.
Oh, Great One, bless our women. Make them strong today.

His name is Sean Micheal and he was born last night at 10:50pm. 7 pounds 7 ounces and my cousin popped up like a daisy right after he was delivered. How annoying. I am glad that she has easy births, though…I wish that I could, too. This is her 3rd son…her 3rd child…and she says she isn’t having any more. I don’t blame her. She’s a single mother.
Her surprise baby shower was supposed to be today… I had a premonition that she wouldn’t make it to her shower, that she would be like me in that she would still be in the hospital after having her baby and wouldn’t be able to attend HAHA. Guess I was right.

Ever see these ads for Christian debt consolidation and mortgages? Does it bug you as much as it does me? If Jesus Himself turned over the tables in the temple because the moneychangers and vendors were turning the temple into a den of robbers, what makes organizations think it’s okay to promote themselves in this manner?
How do I know that you are who you say you are? How do I know that you really do have my best interests at heart? How can I see that you aren’t just playing on the plight of those around you who happen to identify themselves as Christians?
It’s up to each man to judge for himself, but generally I tend to stay away from any money making organization that touts themselves as a Christian anything…recently that has included churches. Go to the link, judge for yourselves as to whether or not they have the spirit of Christ in their dealings. Look up other sites like it, compare. Don’t commit yourself until you are sure.
I am just tired of people taking advantage of others in the name of Christ.

Today was the day …it has been a year since grandmom passed over. My cousin went into labor today. I wrote about grandmom on my vox blog. I am so not in the mood. Husby is depressed because of his job. I am just at an ICK factor of 25 out of 30 right now.
