I need a new digital camera because my 1.5 megapixel piece of doody makes me look like a LIAR.
How, you say? I went to this awesome play called What’s Done in the Dark by Tyler Perry. Out of a good 40 pictures at least 7 of them were unable to be saved. They were the blurriest most overexposed pictures I have ever had the displeasure to see. Back to the point, though..
Patti LaBelle in all her queenly glory was there! I went to take a picture of her * I was in the balcony * and my camera decided to have some wicked error *after taking FOREVER to come back on*. It kept saying that the card door was open. I NEVER OPEN THE CARD DOOR! I don’t even HAVE a card to put in the door! So I try and try to get the camera to take the picture…zoom in as far as I can and snap the blurriest blob of 2 pictures that I have ever seen. How can I ever prove that these pictures are Patti and not just me making things up?

I cannot be made a laughing stock again! CANNOT!! You want to see the struggle to get other good pictures be my guest. It was THE most frustrating thing in the world.
Other than that, I am a mother and children do the silliest things, like sleep upside down, for instance. Taking pictures like that are hard to do when it takes a full minute or more for the camera to decide it wants to work. My son, being a force of nature, really is comical. It would nice to get his antics on camera in video form. Maybe I could finally win America’s Funniest Home Videos. Pictures like these are hard to catch:

YOU try telling a rambunctious 3 year old to stand still for five minutes with a Kix on his nose so you can catch the candid moment and see how frustrated YOU get with a less than mediocre camera!
I have over 500 pictures on my hard drive and have yet to print any of them out due to the expense. Can you imagine the price for getting that many pictures developed? That printer will save me a lot of hassle for sure. It totally sucks to either have to wait for the computer to load or your camera to stop having seizures so you can show of pictures of your beloved clown…I mean child. And HOW do you take a hard drive with you everywhere you go just to prove you saw Patti LaBelle?
And what about all those neat video clips I could do with a camera that has the capability? I could FINALLY let my catfeesh free…

Shopping: Bedding and Presents
I was in BJs looking for a new comforter to go on my bed. My bedding is tore up! We have had it since we got together. I have had to sew together my comforter about 4 times in the last 2 months. I am so tired of it. I found a few nice comforter sets at BJs but they weren’t in my price range. I hate trying to buy bedding…not only that, but we have to buy all these Christmas presents for the children and the Pollyana on the other side. I hate Christmas sometimes.
Weekend Reflection
What has my week been like?
Well..
I cleaned a lot. I got to go though Area 51 a.k.a. My son Taz’s room and rearrange his closet. I never realized how many toys he owns.
My Thanksgiving feast was a hit, as you probably read. I had done all the prep work on Wednesday night and was able to maximize my time. After I got over the panic, I took my tasks and broke them down so that I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed. Sometimes I forget that working that way is the best way for me.
My jacket!!
My husband got me a beautiful new jacket. I was so excited that I just had to blog about it. OMG. WE had a ball today just chillin with each other * and the child * and loving life together.
I surely hope that all of you are doing well and having great days.

What has everyone been doing? Has anyone decorated their tree yet? Have you started buying gifts for Christmas?
We kind of did start but we still have to get a tree and decorations for the tree and the house. My parents are coming over with the rest of my side for Christmas. I am so excited!!
My son got a video game and is learning the wonders of the first Nintendo games like Duck hunt * wink * and super mario brothers.
I’m so sleepy I could cry. Ah well, that’s what happens. On to prep for a stress free Christmas.
The excursion that was…
Today we were on a mission for Christmas presents for the family, and ended up buying for ourselves since there was nothing at the market that any of them wanted. Well, we needed the stuff anyway, so it wasn’t a bad trip.
One thing I did indulge in getting was this jacket. Here is the back:
