leashI finally figured out the true art of dog walking. Although I understand a lot about dogs, their temperament, their ways…there is still a lot to learn about a house dog. Outside dogs are easy compared to inside dogs. It’s a new ballgame when you have to look at them all day long and they are looking at you. This dog loves pizza and I have to be after him about that since we usually have some form of pizza in the house. < /tangent >

Back to dog walking… I have figured out that the true art in walking a dog is to make it seem like you have nothing on the end of the leash. It occurs to me that we have had a few walks like that and I totally forgot he was even there. That is the essence of dog walking. He gets what he needs while you get a stress free outing. I love those kinds of walks. They are overly enjoyable. We are still fighting over who walks ahead, but it’s getting better. He is starting to understand that I am a force to be reckoned with and he doesn’t want to the one I am unleashing that force on. I am also glad that I can do this without feeling like I am abusing him. I am totally against hitting and force of that nature. I don’t want him scared, I want him to respect.

My dog thinks he is better than my child. NOT gonna happen. I decided to do a search about what to do, and man does it sound mean. How do you tell a 4 year old child who loves the dog implicitly that they are not allowed to hug the dog? All he wants to do is hug him. I mean, he can tell him to sit, no, come here, get out, stop, down…but NOT to hug him??? Ay. I was reading this article about Top Dogs. Do you really have to be that harsh? I don’t know if I am going to be able to take my son’s sadness over it, really.

Whenever I watch American Idol I end up bawling my eyes out. Is it because of my own dream deferred? Is it because the singers are so bad there is no way to stop the tears from falling? Is it because the good singers are so good that tears spring to my ears from their melodies? Maybe it’s all of the above. I have always wanted to try out for AI but I have never tried to even get there. Time, money, sacrifice…to be canned or hated on? I dunno. I have a mini nervous break down as I live vicariously through my favorites. I vote dutifully, watch faithfully, and cheer them on to the end. Maybe I am only going to be a local celeb, or maybe not at all. If it’s gonna happen let it happen soon cuz I am nearly 30 and time is ticking. Twenty more years and I am 50 so what will I have to show for my life then? Will I be proud of what I have accomplished or will I be broken, beaten, and giving up? Only time will tell…

See what AI does to me?

Little known fact about me: I love Country line dancing. I am all about getting into the jeans and boots, cocking my cowgal hat to side and going on a hitchin’ ride! It’s so much fun. I can’t believe how quickly I took to it in school gym class. We had a blast. I learned a lot in that class and always wished I could do more.

Soon *God willing* I will be going to Texas. When I get there I want to go shopping for some cute boots and a hat. I love the look of the Ariat Boots, and there are a bunch of different kinds. I don’t like pink very much, but when it’s done right, it’s gorgeous. How about a hat to match these beauties.

I can’t wait to get to Texas, hang out, do karaoke, line dance, and have myself a good old time.

I did a theme for my friend’s blog Twitterpated. It’s all about birds. I thought that it was neat that she asked me to do the theme for it. It was loads of fun and I got it finished in 2 days time. It is getting increasingly easy for me to complete full themes in less time. This one was based on another theme that she had before, but it still had its own difficulties. The site came out beautifully and I am glad that Ang. is enjoying it right now.

fuel my blog

FuelMyBlog is an open free directory for blogs. I have placed nearly every blog I own on there. Take a look. It’s really nice. You get to choose where your blog appears and with what image. You get to preview the ad before you accept it. After that you can check the clicks that the ad gives you. It has increased my traffic and I have more regular readers because of them. Give your blog the gas!

I am in love with these figurines. I thought that the Nursery Rhyme were cute, but the Native ones are much better. They show Natives in a beautiful light. I would not be opposed to paying top dollar for

these figures to add them to my native collections. I am always looking for Native American Figurines that will fit my home. These are top notch. The detail is uncanny. Each and every feather is just so, the hairs and headdresses are perfectly formed. I couldn’t ask for a better representation of the proud heritage from which I spring. Good job guys.
