When we moved to our new apartment, we left behind a treasure that my husband would have rather kept. He had it for years and suddenly could not take it with him. Man would I love to replace my husband’s backyard court basketball hoop. He is very sentimental and I know that having another one would make his day. Of course, this one will be better because
it has so many options. Our main problem would be that we still live in an apartment, but it’s something that I can save up to get for when we buy our house *hopefully within the next year*. He works hard and deserves a nice place to play basketball. He has always dreamed of having this type of hoop with a court. He will especially love that it has the regulation specs. He loves feeling like one of the pros whenever he does any recreational sport like football and basketball. I have seen him sweat to death on less than standard courts outside people’s houses. Yes, my man definitely deserves to be treated to a bigger, better basketball experience. I mean, seriously, wouldn’t your husband feel like a king if you saved up close to $2000 to make his play time worthwhile?

Thought I would do another meme today since you know I can’t stand monotony. I am totally loving the search for new memes. The Daily Meme is usually my source to find the ones that I do here, other than the ones that go through Mr. Linky/Blenza.
Enjoy!

1. Do you think your home reflects who you are?
In many ways it does, because I decorate it and am forever trying to make it look like how I want to feel.
2. Do you think you have too many material things?
I think I have just enough.
3. Do you feel that too much clutter can clutter your mind?
Sure. When my mind is cluttered, my house tends to reflect that and that’s a problem.
4. Agree or disagree. “I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.â€
A motto for my life…
5. Are you a collector of any a specific item(s)? If so what does your collection consist of?
I collect plastic cups…from rest stops LOL Right now I only have about 4 cups in my collection.

The bang of my son’s head against the wooden floor, that is. He busted his lip and slightly loosened his front teeth not long after I told him to put his shoes back on. He was running across a slippery wooden floor at my sister-in-law’s house. His teeth hurt today, there was a lot of blood, and his lip is a bit puffy…but he will live. I nearly lost my dinner, but held it together long enough to get in the car to go home.
I didn’t take any pictures of last night, but we started out at our cousin’s house where we exchanged Christmas gifts. Then we sat around and watched the kids play till around 7. Finally, we got to my sister-in-law’s party and we all had a pretty good time. My son got threatened by this little girl, upon which he promptly told me “she said she was going to smack me”. Then I had to go downstairs and regulate. More »

Livejournal is so full of personalities. It’s no wonder why I have not deleted my account completely and come to reside here on my own domain. My friends from high school are all there, and so are a few from the Internet. I was reading a journal entry by Neil Crespi today where he was sharing his thoughts on how hard it is to blog constantly and how hard it is to make a living blogging. It’s the truth, though. I cannot say that it is easy building up a blog to make it a part time income option for a stay at home mother of one.
It’s really hard when you are trying to make sure that you disclose why and how you do it. You try to be as ethical as possible. You build a reputation online with the truth of your words and personality so that people won’t think you are selling your soul for a dollar…because I know that I am not that person. I tell you what I think and feel without restraint *except for maybe with the expletives* because I know that you trust me to do that. I could never just blog about something positively just because I got a few bucks for it. I have to believe it with my own being.
There are days when I post nothing for profit because there is nothing that I feel would fit here. There is nothing that speaks to me and makes me feel like I could give any type of opinion on it. Sure it’s bad for business, but at the end of the day I can say the my conscience is clear.
