Funny how this happened

I was just writing up my profile for CafeMom and they asked me about challenges that my son has. One of the premade challenges was “picky eater”. I put that one in because he is VERY particular, right down to how many brown spots his banana is allowed to have on it before he deems it unworthy and throws it away. I am forever looking for ways to get him to eat more vegetables, too. There is an e-book for Kids Recipes on sale for $14.95 right now that looks pretty interesting. It comes with bonuses *which I love* and a newsletter. There is also the option of getting the free newsletter without buying the book. I am signing up for the newsletter. I hate worrying about whether or not he is getting a balanced diet all the time. Every recipe helps!

My son’s idea of father

He has been wearing a pair of his father’s socks every day for 3 days now. He keeps taking them off and putting them back on again. He has them pulled up to his knees. I guess that is his way of keeping his father close to him. He sometimes has fits where he forgets his father is at work and starts crying *I lost him!* …He has just added to that pitiful moan *I want my doggy* which both just break my heart. Poor kid. At least he doesn’t have to cry about the dog for long, and he will hardly ever have to cry about me. These are the times when you wish for a nice long, healthy life, no matter how close to death you may feel.

The Purple Rose

I had a friend once who called herself purpleroses online. She broke my heart, though..because I found out she wasn’t real. I love purple roses. They are by far my most favorite kind of flower. It’s funny that I was looking at this site called MeadowOfRoses.com and in their FAQ it tells you what the different colors symbolize. Purple roses symbolize love at first sight. The first time I got a dozen purple roses was not from a person that I loved when I first saw him…but the most meaningful rose that I ever received was from my husband. He gave me a single purple rose. It was love at first sight for us, from the moment the door opened and our eyes met. I thought it was neat that you could buy a rose online for $3, $5, or $7 and when you hover over the rose, the note that was left with it pops up for you to read. No one will ever give me a rose more precious than the one my husband gave me, but it did die and whither away. These roses are supposed to be around for at least a year, if not forever. The rose he gave me will stay in my heart, but these roses will be online for a long time to come.
