Fun Facts: Today In History

This Day in History: January 24 — Infoplease.com

Caligula was murdered on this day so many years ago. It was a brutal murder. Want to read it from the perspective of Cleo? Read Cleopatra the 8th by Margaret George. I think that Julius was an awesome guy with ambition. He got a bum wrap and it would have been interesting to see the world after he got through with it.

Thurgood Marshall also died this day in 1993. He was the first African-American Supreme Court justice. This year will be the first year we have a legitimate candidate for President who is African-American. It is going to be an interesting year. I am sure that Thurgood had a lot to do with this courageous effort to literally change the face of history.
