You can nominate a mom for a Good Mom Reward. You can also give Gifts For Moms Award. There are levels for nomination, but you can always nominate the mom you think deserves an award for free. Each nominated mom is emailed about the award and mailed an any gifts you may have opted for with the nomination. The nomination is also announced on the website for all to see.

I just nominated my own mother, and am in the process of nominating my friend who is a good mother. This is a great opportunity to show your mom that all her hard work raising you paid off. Mom’s are the most over worked, under paid people on the face of the planet. It’s always good to give something back, even if it’s just a compliment.

I can’t wait to hear my mom’s reaction when she gets this notification in her email. I did the free one. I always show her what an awesome mother she was/is. She has been going through it with all the family and their health issues, her own issues, and she is always strong for us…even when my grandmother passed over. I definitely relish any opportunity I get to tell her about her value in my eyes.

So here’s to you mom. I always tell you that if you pass over I will be lost in a deep dark sea, and you know I mean it!

Wow. It’s really hard to believe that my baby is now a little man. Four whole years old!

His birthday party began with me, my mom, my cousin’s 2 boys, and my sister all trying to finish up whatever was left when they got here which wasn’t much. I had begun decorating at 10 for the party at 2. The next to arrive were my Sister in law and her 3 children *with one on the way*. Then my other sister and her boyfriend. Next my mom & dad in law and my own father. Finally, my other sis & bro in law and their 2 children arrived.

We had a gorgeous cake made by my mother special order for my son who cannot have milk or red dye. She was creative enough to find a way to do the Superman theme without using any red dye at all. She also found Superman Valentines and used the tattoos and sayings as favors and to put around the cake. Take a look:

It’s the Postie Carnival with lots of pets! It went live yesterday while we had the 16 hours of being offline… ANYWAY the carnival is full of great stories and pictures of pets. There are other subjects being touched as well, so make sure to read every post there. We have great bloggers on the roster!

I finally got everything done here. I ended up having to hand paste the last posts that were on the other server *everything posted after unconscious mutterings*… let the games begin. Next up: tech blog but not till tomorrow. UGH I feel like crap. I have been up since 8 trying to get this crap done. You see what time it is now. SO I lost a few comments in the process.. I hate that the most.

I realized that I had a lot of overlap in my categories. I am trying to tighten them up and make all the posts go into different categories so you can better read what is interesting to you. Let me know what you think so far, as I am still working on all the posts and categories. It’’s a large project, but we all have to reorganize sometime.

I’m not talking about girls. I am referring to art. Russian Artist Victor Lysakov is coming to the US of A with his bold paintings. He is a modern expressionist who hides a story behind all his paintings. Prints are available for the paintings you prefer.

What is modern expressionism? I looked up the official definition of the art on answers.com and found that it is not about what the muse looks like, but the emotions that the subject evokes from the painter. So, for instance, if I see a coffin, I might think of it as a beautiful montage of colors from the feeling that it gives me, instead of what others may see. It’’s all subjective to the artist’’s impression and how he or she expresses those feelings.

I love this form of art and make it myself even in poetry. Lysakov is rather adept at getting his feelings out onto the canvas. I think he really is able to capture his every emotion through the strokes of his brush. Take a look around his gallery and let me know what paintings spoke to you. My favorite thus far is Redhead Beauty under Women. I am still looking around, though.

I have a serious finishing complex. It’’s hard for me to finish things that I start depending on what they are and when they are. Like, I can NEVER finish cleaning my bedroom, but I can finish washing the dishes… but not all the time. LOL What a day this is going to be. I just want to relax. The kid isn”t here. The husband isn”t here and I am waiting for a phone call from my buddy saying she is on her way to my house, or nearly here. I didn”t get dressed today, either so I”m still in my bum clothes.

and I just looked outside to see that it’’s snowing. Now she probably won”t come over.

Is tomorrow. I think that I will be allowing him a day of fun. You know, candy for breakfast, cake for lunch, and a satisfying dinner *wink* I know, I know. Sounds like a lot of indulgence, right? Well… my son doesn’t really get candy for breakfast. He will get his mostly natural fruit snacks. Cake will be after lunch and his dinner will probably end up being chicken nuggets. He is going to be 4, but he still eats baby veggies. I don’t know what it is in the texture of real veggies that bothers him, but he thinks they are gross. So yes at 4 years old he still eats baby food, but who cares how he gets his veggies just as long as he gets them?
