Not too long ago I was in search of the truth and meaning in Catholicism. I had gone as far as to go to a local Catholic store and get information. I bought a pamphlet that explained the rosary, gave variations of prayers to use with the rosary, and some information as to why people pray the rosary. I also was able to obtain 2 rosaries. One for myself as a tool for prayer and one for my son if he ever chose to use it. I prayed my rosary every day for at least a month and I have to say that it was a soothing experience. I would go to sleep with the rosary in my hand and wake up with it close to my heart. I have a fond attachment to it, even now when it is put away for safe keeping.

My husband was brought up Catholic. He even showed me his first communion gifts that he still has tucked away. I was looking through a box of books last night and found his certificate from the Catholic church saying that he had taken his communion.

Sometimes I look at that beautiful marquesite rosary and just meditate on God. I love having an eclectic sense of religion!

Yes you can learn a lot from watching television. I am watching my second favorite show Iron Chef America and one of the 2 secret ingredients is coconut. The announcer said that coconut milk is a sterile food and was used as an intravenous food for hurt soldiers in World War II.

I just found out that Anna Nicole Smith died today. How sad is this for the woman who fought her whole life for it to mean something? She was only 39 years old. It will be interesting to see what they come up with as the reason for her death. I can’t believe it. It’s utterly shocking to me. Rest In Peace, Anna. I am praying for your baby.

Valentine’s Day is next Thursday. Are you ready? I don’t know what I want for V-day. I would settle for an e-card. There are some more birthdays I have to think about this month, too. I might even just send them to everyone that I know instead of trying to get a bunch of cash together to buy things that will either wilt, get thrown away, or be eaten within the week. I love to refer to E-greetings for their cards. They usually have some free, funny birthday eCards and some cute Valentine’s cards. Even if you find one that isn’t free, you get a 30 day free trial before you have to pay. It’s only $13.99 for the year. It’s really not that much considering how many birthdays, holidays, and occasions most of us have. Think about it this way, you could hit up the dollar store for 14 cards plus however many other ones you need during the year, or you could just email them for the same price *or less* and know that they got the card, that you didn’t have to run around at the last minute to find one you liked, and that the person you sent it to enjoyed what you picked.

Two cats! What are the odds of us seeing two nearly identical Tabby cats outside today? The afternoon walk turned into a training session. He couldn’t even go to the bathroom because he was so worried about getting at the cats. Once I had him calmed mostly down from seeing one, out popped the other one.

I would just be happy if I could get him to be better when other dogs are around. The cats is just not high on my priority list. We have more dogs than cats that live in these apartments. He is still prancing around whining about the cats. I gave him a brush down to help calm him some.

My order should come within a week. I got him a reusable dental Kong and a retractable leash that goes up to 110lbs for strength. I just got the email of confirmation today. Looking forward to having a bit more control over Coby’s actions.
