I love her to bits and pieces. She has been having some pretty severe problems lately. One such problem is with her knees. She is has to go in for cortisone shots in them so that the cartilage will last a little longer…so she can have a cushion between the bones. The doctors say that she might eventually have to get Knee Replacement on both her knees. I would hate for her to have to go through that. She is always on the go with my sister, my dad, my cousin’s children…she hardly gets time to breathe. Just please keep her in your prayers that she won’t have to to and get surgery any time soon. Also pray that if in God’s infinite wisdom that He says she must have the surgery, that we can find her a greatly skilled doctor in our area. Most of the good ones are either in California or out of the country it seems. Thanks all.

Do I look younger yet?
I am actually sitting here drinking Goji Berry Juice. It is touted to have lots of health benefits. One of the effects I am interested in is prolonged youth. The juice is actually supposed to make you look younger. It is also supposed to make you live longer. The bottle I have says “Longevity” on it. I got samples in the mail the other day and just now decided to try this particular one. The juice is also supposed to increase stamina, help you maintain muscle mass, and help with over all peace & balance. Lord knows that I need some peace and balance. I was thinking that it might actually help me with bipolar and depression. I don’t have enough to make a case study out of it, but if this makes me feel good today I will look into buying more soon.
Goji Juice kind of tastes like light prunes. It’s actually rather tasty. I was scared to try it at first. I mean, the berry looks like a cherry but then it really doesn’t taste like one. Then you have the way it looked in the bottle…like tomato juice. I despise tomato juice with a passion, so you can see my dilemma. I just had to suck it up and take a chance. I am now pleasantly surprised LOL.
Self Portrait Sunday: SuperWoman
Clubbing in Philly
OKAY so I am a day late. I haven’t felt the knack to blog until this very moment LOL
Sunday began with me dropping the dog off at the kennel so he wouldn’t be alone for hours on end here. Then me and the kid got ready for my cousin to come and pick us up. She got here faster than I expected, as I had just jumped out of the shower when she knocked on my door. From then, it was a mad dash to get ourselves together so the kid could go to my mom’s house and we could head to my cousin’s.
We ran a few errands then ended up at my cousin’s house. Her brother owns it, just bought it a few months ago. He is working to make it gorgeous and he has great taste. I love his furniture. It’s really beautiful. ANYway, we got the martini table set up *pomegranate, mango, and apple* with shrimp cocktail and got ourselves dressed. My other cousin showed up in mid-prep and wasn’t too happy about the martinis HAHA… Continue reading
Coby’s schedule
I have changed his schedule to fit our life as it stands. At first he was going outside about 5 times a day, till he got used to our area and the way we do things. Now he is down to 3 times a day unless he REALLY needs it or I have to go somewhere.
- 7am he wakes me up and tell him to go lay down so I can sleep
- 7:30am I actually get up and we go into the living room
- 8am my son wakes up, gets juice & food, tv on…and Coby and I go out for his first walk
- 8:30am get back from walk, gets food & water *son’s job*
- 9am till 3pm gets to do whatever he wants *within reason of course*
- 3pm gets second walk of the day *hopefully son is napping, if not he may come with us*
- 3:30pm get back, 2nd feeding for the day *son’s job*
- 4pm to 10pm gets to do what he wants
- 10pm son goes to bed. Coby gets the last walk of the day, some water and it’s about time for bed.
When we get another car on the road he will go to the park with us and have a good time. For now, he has the vast grassy areas around the apartment complex. My mom said he might be better on a farm since he is so antsy sometimes when he is here and has a lot of energy pent up. Wintertime is a hard time to have a dog that likes to be outside and a child who needs to be inside. Summertime will be probably be hard, too, as my son can’t be out in the heat *severe heat rash and eczema*… so we shall see.
