I just read an amazing story of how a dog’s quick thinking save his owner from choking to death. You really have to admire the sense that God gave animals. They say the woman wouldn’t be alive right now if it wasn’t for her loyal canine companion.

I guess someone else saw it the way I did. Someone else said what I was thinking better than I could at the time:

Let me tell you one thing, when I heard the words Frog Princess in conjunction with Disney’s first black princess, none of my feelings about it were happy ones.

I was tagged by Marcus so here is the task:

Proposition: Where do you want to go Next, OUTSIDE OF YOUR COUNTRY, for tourism, work , study, whatever.

Requirements:Find some info about the place, Excludes your NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR, (means Cananda and Mexico are out of the choice!)

Here we go:
I would like to go to Spain. Yes, another Spanish speaking country. First, I would love to utilize the “other” verb phrases we learned in school. You know, the off one that is only used in Spain. I can’t wait to say VOSOTROS haha. This is strictly for tourism.

As of 1999 they had around 18 million land line phones in use. I bet you anything that number has since plummeted due to increased usage of cellular phones.

Madrid is home to at least 9 million residents *metro and inner city areas combined*. That was the figure in 2003, though. Imagine how that could have exploded since then. Spain occupies 85% of the Iberian peninsula. That’s a whole lot of land to explore.

Quantity : Tag others to enjoy the travel game.

Where is everyone going?

Marcus is going to the .

Deb is going to Australia.

MaRLinda will be in Disneyland Paris

Athira Baby and her Balamory Antics

Msau is headed to Japan

Shoppingmum travels to Europe

Angeleyes is enamored with Bora Bora

Jazzmint heads to Xian

Osman is thinking of Spain

Laura is going to Italy.

Extra Rules: PASS this tag within 7 days of receiving it , or donate $10 to charity.

Okay here is who I am tagging.

Jeanette, Skeet, and Golden.

Friday’s Feast

Friday’s Feast
Appetizer
What are you proud of?
Still being alive after all the crud I have gone through.

Soup
What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize?
A drawing from a great local artist.

Salad
Name something you do that is a waste of time.
Try to get in the good graces of people who don’t like my no matter what I do.

Main Course
In what year of your life did you change the most?
2001

Dessert
Where is a place you consider to be very tranquil?
The place in my mind that takes me back to my grandmother’s house when I was a child.

There are so many things I could say about this feast. I am already in a pretty delicate emotional state. Things have been going on in my brain and being fueled by my off-balance horrormones. UGH. Pray for me. I really want to be okay.

I nearly forgot to tell you. I kept looking up the office with Google and for some reason or other, the computer kept freezing! It was like a sign from God. Google’s local search is usually pretty quick and reliable. I get all my info from them about distance, time, and phone numbers…sometimes even websites for the business I am looking up. I think I might start searching around for another way. It is hard to check out local advertising in our area since most of it seems to be on the down low. This area isn’t that big or commercial, so it isn’t that hard to understand the reason why. There are a ton of businesses in our area, though, and the bridge is right there. I am forever looking for businesses that can give me the services or products that I need without having to go an hour or more away from my house. It gets frustrating. I hope that more smaller businesses in our area look into marketing themselves online. It’s way more effective than just trying to get it out there by word of mouth, especially for someone like me who doesn’t get out very often.

We decided to try and go to a local office instead of our usual.

MISTAKE!

I can’t tell you how annoying it was to finally find the office only to be told that we can’t file our taxes without our 2005 returns. Why? Because the person we were dealing with didn’t know home business/small business tax law and was giving us a hard time. I knew we should have just taken the loooong drive to our usual spot in Mays Landing. I can’t believe the condescending evil attitude both she and the receptionist took with us when they found out what we needed done. They were defying us from the moment we said we work from home. I really don’t understand people, sometimes. If you don’t know how to do something, just admit it!

Needless to say we now have an appointment with our beloved Mays Landing H & R Block office with our favorite tax pro for next Thursday. *sigh*

Spring has officially sprung. I can see the buds on the trees and the birds are everywhere. Even just taking a look around, inhaling the smells of the newly sprouted grass, can take me back to a time when I was young and barefoot, running through my grandmother’s yard. I could hear the Wind Chimes as they rustled with the breeze. The beauty of that innocent time still lingers near my heart. I remember distinctly the tone that they had. It was so melodical and sweet. It was something like this one but instead of birds I believe it had shells. I am about to cry just thinking about it.
