Thursday Thirteen : Triggers

I am going to compile a list of my triggers and things I notice before I freak out. This really should go on my depression blog, but I would rather do it here then explain on the other blog.

Thursday Thirteen: Triggers

  • lack of sleep
  • PMS
  • too much caffeine
  • being sick
  • when my husband is agitated, so am I
  • the child acting up
  • the dog whining
  • not eating enough
  • transitioning from depression to mania…the hypomania
  • having lots to do and not having time to do it
  • I have noticed that small things tend to annoy me more during the transition
  • I have also noticed that this all can back build till I get to the boiling point
  • My self esteem plummets and then here comes the rain.

  1. That’s a very interesting list. I’m not bipolar, but a lot of those same things will trigger changes in mood and feeling overwhelmed.

    I think it’s good to be able to read the triggers so that we can try to take some kind of corrective action rather than feeling like the change just came out of the blue.
