Thanks to a newer friend of mine named Julie, I get to write about a friend that I have had since 9th grade. Yes, that is nearly 14 years of being friends. We have been through thick and thin, Hell and high water, love, laughter, and heartbreak together. People used to think we were lesbians because of the love we had for each other… ah those high school memories.
We met in choir. It was a showdown of staring, as we both knew that we were the top of our class * I was in 2nd period and she was in 6th*. It was from that moment that we decided whether we would be mortal enemies or best of friends. I am glad that we chose the latter. She is a formidable opponent. We sang together, acted in plays together, traveled together. We were destined to be the best of friends.
Today, she is my son’s godmother. We see each other and talk on the phone frequently. Even though we are about an hour away, she is one friend I know I will never “grow” out of.

Those are great pictures! Thanks for participating.
Awwwww! Look at young Suni!! You were too adorable for words.
