Question of the Week – April 16, 2007

Question of the WeekThis week’s question:
Do you have a weekly meal plan? How do you plan for your family dinners?

I work around my husband’s schedule. If he has 4 days of early work and one day off, then I have to think of 5 meals so we can all eat together as a family. If he has to work all nights and only gets his two days off, then I only have to come up with 2 dinners. If he wants something special, I make sure to have all the ingredients the day before I am to make it or I get it as soon as he comes home from work so dinner will be done at a decent hour. For the most part, family dinner is between 7:30 and 8pm.

It’s good to know that we aren’t the only ones who eat later than the normal “dinner hour” of 5-6 PM! We’ve always had supper late – even later in the summertime. I am really getting inspired to go back to at least some of my old menu planning and shopping habits!
