Where Was I Yesterday? (part 1)

This is in two parts because it was such a tedious, long day. We set out to buy my husband the Eagle Talon we looked at on Thursday. It seemed like a promising deal, especially since there was another car that I liked so we were going to get them both from the same dealer.

Everything seemed to be okay when we returned on Friday to get the car. We decided to drive it to the DMV to get the papers for it, drop the blue car, come back and get the gold one for me and repeat. WELL we got as far as about 3/4 the way to the DMV when the Eagle Talon’s transmission stuck. Husby couldn’t get it into gear to do anything, so we ended up parking it at Autozone, calling the dealer and telling him to get someone to tow it out. SO off we were, right back to Mays Landing. GOODNESS. That is a long drive when you have to do it twice.

We got back to the dealer and took the gold car *My Mercury Sable* so we could repeat the trip back down, praying all the way. This car seems to be alright, though. There are very minor issues with it that are easily fixable. It’s a used car *obviously* but it is in great shape.

Very nice Sable you got there! I own a Ford Taurus, which is basically the Sable’s twin brother. I just thought I’d mention to you a website called the Taurus Car Club of America (http://www.taurusclub.com). It’s a forum for Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable owners. There you can find a lot of information about your new car, especially common problems and how to diagnose them. Sables are very reliable cars and can last very long if taken care of correctly. So I just though I’d mention that to you to help you out a little. And congratulations on the car!
