I looked up how to make Homemade Dishwasher Detergent because I figure it isn’t worth the money to buy all those puffy pads of detergent and powder. I love this website. I always end up there looking for homemade solutions.
That’s where I found out what I could do to the dog to wash him before I got the expensive shampoo. I still use the dry baking powder bath when I don’t have time to wash him in the tub.
Anyway, I didn’t know that you could use boric acid (borax) for so many different things. I always wondered if it was really that toxic. I use it for ants and roaches, but never for cleaning. Anyone have an experience with that?

Coby and I have come to an agreement of sorts. He is pushing it, though, with his simpering looks and army crawl towards my legs. He has taken to sniffing over my bed before he decides that he is going to test the waters with one paw, then another, then the back legs one by one till he has found his way atop my bed. Next thing I know, he is sidling over to my side, nonchalantly acting as if he didn’t mean to be right between my ankles. Then he stares at me to see if I am going to yell him off the bed, and promptly goes to sleep after figuring out that I have long since given up trying.
I make it sound kind of bad, but he is slowly making me fall for him. Honestly. I think we will be okay now.

Heh what did I sign up for? LOL Just kidding. Amy was very kind in her questions to me for the Interview meme. Here are the questions that she asked and my answers to those questions.
1. Tell us what keeps you centered and grounded.
I have always been able to focus through the problems and pain to get things done…even if it takes me forever to do them. The point is: they get done. The one thing that keeps me centered, the one thing that keeps me grounded is God. Honestly, without Him I would have been dead a long time ago. When I lose my focus, get distracted, or just feel like I’m going insane He is there to guide me back to myself.

As if it ever really left! I do notice that I see new products coming out every season while the old ones are left for stores like Walmart to come and snatch them up for their customers. Among the lineup of new fangled products this season are Driveway Alarms. This little gadget is supposed to alert you when someone comes into your driveway so that you are alert and aware. It’s been touted as an addition to your home security system. Sounds like a good idea to me. I wonder if that will work if I put it on my stoop. Then I can hide when unwanted visitors come knocking at my door.
