My friend Loretta has a cooking blog called where she accepts different recipes from readers for her family to try and evaluate. I sent in the recipe for our beloved native fry bread taco. I just know her family is going to love it.
My other friend, Deb, sent in a recipe that I would like to try with a different cheese. I am not a fan of cottage cheese at all. Go take a gander at what Loretta’s family thought of the recipe and find your own favorites to send in.
Make sure to RSS it and bookmark it so that you can get the latest in her repertoire of reviewed recipes. You can also print the recipe as a recipe card, which is a new but overly awesome feature. I am always writing down recipes on index cards and now I can save the trouble of writing it out for myself.

The quote of the day on my page is this:
The seven deadly sins…Food, clothing, firing, rent, taxes, respectability and children. Nothing can lift those seven millstones from Man’s neck but money; and the spirit cannot soar until the millstones are lifted.
George Bernard Shaw
(1856-1950)
Notice how he did NOT mention wives or marriage? Wives and marriage are not millstones.
I can’t help but to think that we are on the side that help the spirit to soar since we aren’t outlined in the sins. Being a wife…a good wife, that is… is a hard burden to bear. Trying to keep the spirit of your loved one above the much and mire of the cruelness of work and despair isn’t an easy task by any means.
What would you liken being married and being a good wife to? What do you think your husband needs from you in order for you to be considered a good wife?
