Really. I do believe that she is. The way she talks about using network cables and configuring ports makes my skin tingle. Why? Mostly because that kind of work is beyond my comprehension at this point. Last night she got her two computers to talk to each other. They are on different operating systems! I was like “You Go!” …because I surely couldn’t. This is a salute to the genius of Marisa.

In my Neighborhood: The Millville Airshow
Tomorrow I get to go to a once a year event in my old hometown: The Millville Airshow. I am excited to see what my son’s reaction will be, especially now that he has been on an airplane and in the clouds 4 times. I know it will be way too loud for him, but my sister (who has volunteered there before) says the tents give out free earplugs. I wish to goodness that I could take a piece of my home furniture out there so I could lounge and enjoy the show comfortably. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

Getting older opens new doors for beauty
Since being so close to 30 woke me up this past April when I turned 27, I have been looking for ways to improve my appearance without going resorting to drastic or costly measures. One of the tools I have been playing around with is a wig. Many a woman has used lace front wigs to enhance their beauty. I have always been dead set against artificial means of beautifying yourself. It’s funny how age changes things.
I will be keeping my eye on the daily specials and reduced price bin sections of that site. Their wigs are made with real human hair and surpassing quality. You can tell by the way the hair lays in the wigs that are shown. In the customer pictures you can hardly tell where the weaves and wigs begin and the person’s hair ends. It’s neat that you can get a professional look for less than it would cost in the salon. You can do it yourself, which saves time and money. I am impressed. It would be worth the investment to get a good quality wig like theirs.

You can read about what Zuleyka aka LunaNiña thought when we met in Puerto Rico here. I really thought her insights about my family *and my dog* were great. I can’t wait till our next meet up. I wish she could come over here and I could show her the reason why I love their water so much more than ours here in the States.
Strawberry Time!
OH It’s my favorite time of the year:
Strawberry season. MMMM My mother always makes homemade jams. We used to visit the fields every year and pick our own strawberries. I love them alone, with sugar, with chocolate syrup, with jello, with cool whip… SO good. I was looking at a picture of a great way to eat strawberries on www.baychef.com.
The sugar cookie with blueberries and cream looks divine. My mouth is watering. I am going to attempt to make my version of shortcake probably tomorrow so we can have it for dessert tomorrow night. Talk about good.

So You Think You Can Dance : Choreography round
EWWWW can this guy please get a clue? David “sex” Whatever his name is. I fathom that this year was much better than last year. He gets an A for effort and an F for WTF?
ENOCH! NOOOO but at least Hanna and Jamal get to stay. I think they will be my favorites for a while with this.
I can’t wait till next week. I wish they had shown more of the choreography. It would have been interesting to see what each one did in that round. At least we know that 2 of my favorites get to keep on going!!
Next is The Lot. I think this might be growing on me.
So You Think You Can Dance kicked off tonight
OH MY what a group we have here! I am glad that So You Think You Can Dance can replace my need to watch people humiliate themselves on national television. Really, that’s not it. I love watching people dance WELL. It’s been a dream of my own to dance, but my knees thought otherwise. I live vicariously through those who make it onto the stage
First, the judges. Why the mock Simon? I still don’t get it. Just because it works for ONE show doesn’t mean it works for ALL the shows. “Paula” is more outspoken here, which is good. I guess “Randy” won’t say much tonight. I guess we will find out.
Derrick was too much. He had a lot of energy, used most of it, and sucked a lot. Poor TIffany tried her best. WOW to Jessica.
That first couple totally proved that sexy never left.
Heather ‘s story was so inspiring. She is the kind of person you feel bad saying no to. It’s a good thing they didn’t! She made me tear up.
OH GOD NO!!! NOT DERRICK AGAIN!!!
Jenna…big girls can dance better than that! It’s always sad to see a teacher screw up like that. The same thing happened to a singing teacher on American Idol! And teacher…bad form cursing out the camera.
Chasmar I hope your dance is as creative as your hair. Ergh..it was interesting. Ugly and interesting… JUST like your hair.
Melissa. AHHHH!!! Poor Ugly Betty.
Another heartbreaking story: Hanna-Lee. What a terrible thing to have happen to you. Falling and being so critically injured! She didn’t get to go on, which is a shame. At least she was able to come back and be alive to do what she loves.
Earnest. What can I say? He was great. Just fantastic! Jamal. NICE! He is streetalicious.
This couple is soooo sad. Joel and Carmen: please stop.
Ashley killed it. Yes, she is a lot better than her teacher. I love that the teacher is short. It shows that short girls can dance like whoa, too. Inspiration for shorties like me.
Faina I’m gonna faint-a LOL She was a great dance. I loved how she was so on point with every movement. It’s nice that her brother came to help her out.
Squee Jamal the sequel~! LOL!!! Great intro *dies laughing* THEY KILLED IT! He was overly fantastic. I knew he would be. Totally grinning from ear to ear.
