Are you Superbad?

This new movie looks like another one filled with hilarity. It reminds me a lot of the Napoleon Dynamite movie, which I LOVE. At first, I didn’t know what the movie would be about. You have to love a movie that shows adolescence in such a fun way. These kids are so much like those that I have known in my own life. I think it’s great that they get some time in the limelight through proxy.

The movie doesn’t come out till August 17th and is rated R, but that won’t stop us from going to see it. That’s what the babysitter is for :P My husband and I are both into this brand of comedy. It was a must see for us from the moment we saw the very first teaser.

You can check out exclusive clips of Superbad on the official site. You should also make it a point to go to YouTube today and watch all five of the Superbad clips they will have there. It’s a featured special for August 1st only. I know I am going to head over there and join in the fun. So far, I have only watched the preview that they have posted there, and I am splitting my sides laughing. This movie will end being one of the most frequently quoted this season.

Is it STILL Monday?

I do believe it is. What makes the days so long for me? Lately it’s been the wait for my husband to get here. I have devised a rudimentary schedule for cleaning my house so I don’t get overwhelmed. Today was the living room. I have yet to get up and actually do anything in the house at all. Depression is a trip. Really. You can be extremely happy in the rest of your life except for this nagging abyss.

Trying to lose weight

UGH I am so close to buying some diet pills it’s not even funny. I HAVE to get rid of this excess around my waist. I know I should give up carbs, but that’s the staple of my food supply. How do you lose weight only around your middle while leaving everything else intact? I am experimenting with different exercises, so I will let you know.

My dream camera

I am getting closer and closer to buying my dream camera. Right now I could buy Canon Powershot s3 is pretty close to what I want… pretty close. I want something with awesome macro, quick shooting capabilities, and a way to keep the settings saved so that you don’t have to set it up every single time you open the shutter. That is only part of what I want. The highest megapixel camera you can get right now would be awesome, too. I just have this dream of being a famous photographer, and I don’t have the equipment to do it. Very frustrating.


Series of Fortunate Events

Yesterday was a great day due to a series of fortunate events. At first, it really didn’t look like it would be that eventful. I mean, we got to my father in law’s just to find out that my sister in law wasn’t coming down. My father in law was an hour away at a doctor’s appointment, and we were relegated to chatting with the old man from across the way. We decided not to wait for my husband’s parents to come back, so I suggested we head to the mall.

What else did we buy?

I never finished my diatribe about our shopping excursion, did I? Sorry! I didn’t forget about you. I know you have been waiting with baited breath. Some of you might have even turned blue and passed out!

I must say that I love buying bulk. We have a membership and are able to save LOADS of money by buying things in bigger quantities than we would normally. I have gone months without having to buy certain necessities at the store because of that store. I was finally able to get some dishwasher detergent so I don’t have to agonize over the dishes every day. I have such a complex with finishing dishes, they never get fully done. Now, I can just load up the washer and go. FANTASTIC!

We also bought my son a variety of juices and little boxes of soy milk. He loves doing things himself, and that is helping him exercise his independence safely. He adores being able to go to the fridge and help himself.

The only thing that would make the store better is if they had a section of shoes. I don’t know what I would do if I ended up in a bulk store with Air Jordans and a variety of women’s dress shoes, flip flops, sandals, and more. I don’t think I would ever have any money in my bank account.


Wishing for better in the kitchen

I wish that I had one good cookware set instead of 3 different ones. I like cohesiveness in my cookware. Why? I don’t know. There is something about having all the same color and style of pots on the stove at one time. I guess it’s just a pet peeve of mine. I like things to always match…except for my earrings LOL
