Believe it: Christmas gifts early

I couldn’t believe how early they (the sales crazy people) are making Christmas come this year. Honestly, how much in advance should you buy for Christmas? What if I were to go and buy someone something … for the sake of argument let’s say it was one of the more pricey poker tables… and it ended up going on sale right before Christmas? I can’t recoup that money. It’s been too far in advance to get my money back and then buy the other table. What if the person picks up the gift themselves before the holiday? Then I am stuck with a poker table that I paid too much for, and have to find another way to get rid of. Not cool, not cool at all. I can see 2 months in advance, but not four.

That might be the best argument for last minute Christmas shopping I’ve heard. My dad’s like that… if he wants it he buys it, and his wife let him do it. Grr….
