I am getting all kinds of comments, some insidious and some educated, about the Jena 6 issue. Some of them show that people are not looking at the whole story, but only jumping to conclusions bases on a small amount of information. It’s a shame that all that has transpired isn’t being taken into account. Many people seem to think that freeing the Jena 6 means they will get off without consequence, but that isn’t what we are rallying for…it’s for JUSTICE. Equal and fair justice.
I am still waiting for word on what DID actually occur in the courthouse yesterday, as there has only been mention of the march in Jena, Louisiana. I was just reading Justice in Jena site, and they have stories and video on what transpired outside the courthouse yesterday. I must say that I am rather pleased with the turnout, only wishing I was part of the throng.
In a way, we were…those of us who took the time to blog about the injustice.
The first carnival was a success. The next Carnival of Injustice is already shaping up well for the first Friday in October. The main focus will be injustices toward children. I am sure I will have plenty of entries for that.
Has anyone heard what actually happened in the courtroom yesterday?
