I have been putting him on the treadmill a little at a time. He hates it with a passion even though he does run well on it. He has two favorite toys: an owl and a lobster. He can throw those around for an hour or two each. Other than that, he likes to take sprints back and forth through the house.
I hear that destructive behaviors are usually the characteristics of boredom. So, when I have him on the side porch all afternoon and he tears up my screen door trying to get back inside, I guess he is bored. We weren’t home when he did that, though. We came back to that little treat.
Sometimes I give him treats in his kong. He loves to figure that out. I want to give him a more puzzling toy to figure out, though. The kong he has is simple to figure and he gets bored with it rather quickly. Any suggestions on puzzling kongs for a 50 pound puppy?

Yesterday me, the kid, and the hubby all went to the store to get a few things. With the purchase of a few knicknacks, shelves, and pictures, our home is getting warmer by the second. I was happy to find a 3 tiered candle holder for the side show table.

Hubby found 3 lovely oriental style pictures to frame out the look of our living room. He also found these adorable little blue birds. They make you want to pluck them up and squeeze them.

AND he got a shoe organizer *metal this time* that hangs over the door of our front closet. I also have a shelf that goes over the top of my sink now. It is nice to have my canisters out where they can be seen.

I will also share the other things I bought for the kitchen a little while back to make it look more homey:
