I genuinely would like to know the answer. I don’t think enough people ask that question with the intent of actually listening to the answer. It’s not fair to the person you ask. It’s not fair to you, either. Why? You are missing a chance to really get to know other people, their likes, dislikes, and the things that really affect them. When you ask this question again, make sure you actually want to know the answer, that you genuinely have concern for the person you are asking…and it’s not just out of politeness. It isn’t really polite to ask and then not care about the answer, is it?
