“Lord, forgive me for backslidding, but sometimes to fight the Devil you have to poke him with his own pitch fork.”

Ain’t it the truth?

My mother in law was just asking me about something for her VOIP phone. I didn’t know what to tell her, so I thought I would take a look around the net and see what, if anything, I could possibly do to help. One site that piqued my interest was Talkswitch. Now I know that they have solutions for small business owners as far as phone systems go, but they do carry a good number of different phones that cater to businesses as small as two people.

Personally, my husband and I have a small business that we run from our home. We would truly benefit from a double line calling system that doesn’t require another phone number or my having to get off the internet to use it. The Voice Over Internet Phones that they offer could be right up our alley. My all time favorite product, though, has to be the headsets for the phone. I can’t tell you the number of times I have needed my hands free to do something and not wanted to be on speaker phone due to background noise (i.e. my son). The possibilities for productivity are endless with a second line to put on hold AND a headset? My goodness…

Talkswitch offers service all across the nation and they offer dial tone service. Pretty good if you ask me. Not everyone will continue to serve up dial tone after a while. I hope that at least a few companies continue to keep it as an option for people who don’t want to upgrade to VOIP.

I don’t know why he always wants another watch. He just got finished taking two of his mock raymond weil watches and meshing them together to make one super watch. It is pretty fascinating to see, but it just makes him want another watch to replace them. It’s sad, really, that he can’t wear most watches. His skin and the back of the watch just does not mix. Ah well, what can you do?

Well we all know that isn’t true. We have plenty of boxers who are women and awesome at what they do. What I am referring to is how many women actually enjoy boxing. I like a good fight from time to time. Watching with my husband makes it all the more exciting, because of how he reacts to the fight. There is a big hulabaloo right now about getting Manny Paquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez tickets. Apparently these two ended up in a split draw last time which basically means no one actually won the fight.

They are rip roaring and ready to go at it again March 18th in Mandalay Bay (Vegas). We usually watch the heavyweights, but I like the lightweights. They are more agile than the heavy boxers. You end up with some awesome combinations and really fancy footwork. I was just reading about their story on ESPN today. This is going to end up being one explosive match. Any time you have a draw or defeat and the two want a rematch, you know you are in for some fireworks.

I wonder if the Man will want to have a boxing party that night.

PhotobucketToday is Christmas Eve Eve. What does that mean?

Well, for many people this is the last day they have to get their last presents. Thankfully, I finished up what I needed to do yesterday. No fighting through crowds and traffic for me. I can only imagine the backups. Last night my husband saw a six car pile up and watched a three car pile up happen at a red light. People are just not paying attention and ending up paying dearly for it.

For me, today is the last day of cleaning and preparation for our Christmas Eve soiree. I am roasting 2 chickens, mashing potatoes, and heating some corn. The rest of the feast will consist of my aunt’s famous macaroni and cheese, shrimp, artichoke spinach dip, crab cake dip, coquito, and LOVE.

Here are the recipes that I like for roasted chicken and coquito.

This evening I went to the store with less money than I needed to spend. God sent me an angel who paid my grocery bill for me. Wherever you are, kind stranger, who pulled out a 20 dollar bill to cover my grocery bill, I thank you. My dog thanks you because I was buying his food. My family thanks you because we were able to keep a few dollars till next paycheck. I especially thank you. I cried tears of sheer joy and praise to God after our meeting. I will never forget you as long as I live. I pray that God blesses you beyond measure that you can imagine.
