Dishwasher versus hand washing

I loath washing dishes. When I say loathe, I mean that I would rather have to spend ten years in the hottest pits of Hell than wash dishes by hand. I thank God for dishwashers. I was thinking about running it today, but then I thought “which takes more water?” I try to be as green as possible when it comes to running my home. I clean with vinegar and baking soda when I can.

So I did a Yahoo search real quick to see what the verdict is on dishwasher versus hand washing. So far, everything I read has said that dishwashing, even once a day in the machine, is more water efficient. I also happen to have a water saver setting on my dishwasher, which I ALWAYS use. I don’t use the heated dry 99% of of the time. The other 1% is when it has been switched on by my Kid and I didn’t realize it. I also only use the thing maybe 2 or 3 times in a 7 day period. Usually I don’t have enough dishes to justify using the sucker.

See, my wandering around the web paid off. I found something to blog about.Yay me.

I load my dishwasher, but I don’t run it through until it’s completely full..usually about every 3 days. I hate doing dishes :\
