After the boisterous announcement that we were going to do our laundry on Saturday, we actually didn’t go till today. We had an awesome time (yes, doing laundry). We traveled a ways up 95 to find the place that promises free dryer time.
The laundromat was clean, efficient, and their staff were very helpful. You get what looks like a metro card to put money on and use that card for the washers and dryers. The staff was great! They told us everything we needed to know when we walked in the door. There were plenty of units to choose from and a well stocked corner store of sorts with soap, dryer sheets, and even laundry bags.
Instead of my son being bored, he had television and plenty of children to go around. He made a few friends (adult and child alike) while watching Spongebob. He even ended the day with a lesson in colors from a nice lady that had been talking with me about my knitting, crocheting, and spinning.
I think I am in love with this place and will make a point to have a family outing every month to go there. Not to mention, we still have FREE drying minutes left on our card to use up!
Next big thing to accomplish? Perusing some of the antique and second hand furniture stores to find a lamp. None of the flimsy ones in the big box stores are worth the money.
