So I called my best friend IRL, aka my son’s godmother, yesterday to see if she had time to come over during her vacation. Lo and behold, we found an opening! So tomorrow, she is coming over around 2pm, chilling with us for a while, goind to my son’s class with us, then hanging out in DE afterwards. I can hardly contain my glee! I wonder if we will finally go the Chinese buffet next door.

He turned 3 on April 1st. Yes I am a bad mommy and I am only now posting about it. It’s also about time to reapply the flea & tick salve. I think we will do it within the next few days, since the smell irks my husband. It smells like herbs and I adore the way it smells, myself. I just don’t like that Coby thinks everything should smell like he does LOL He doesn’t need his rabies shot for another year, though. I was going to take him to the local free clinic for that, but realized I have to wait till next year. I wonder if they would be able to bring it to him in the car since he is still pretty miffed when it comes to other animals.

I got all the laundry I could do today finished just before they changed all the prices on the machines! Every one of the washers went up 50 cents. If it had been that way when I got there, I would have come all that way for nothing. Thank God I felt the urge to go so early. Granted, it’s not really my idea of fun to see other people taking bustiers and unmentionables out of the wash, but it is a heck of a lot better knowing:

A) my clothes are completely clean
B) drying time is totally free
C) most or all of my laundry is done in as much time, if not less, than right next door

I would say it’s a win/win just for that. Even with their washers going up in price, it’s worth the trip and the money for those things. I mean, I can fit about 3.5 loads of laundry in the $7.50 washer and dry those 3 for free. I just saved $2.00! In the long run, it will still always be cheaper unless their prices go over $8.

Well, that’s what it felt like is all we bought at WalM*rt the other day. I looked in our cart after the total and was amazed to see that a few bottles of vitamin water, some sheets for our non-adjustable beds, a bottle of juice, and some deodorant cost that much. I mean, we probably got a few other things in there, but it was mostly LIQUID. The shame of it: everything was pretty much on sale! I hate how far a dollar goes in our economy right now.
Today, I get to brave the elements and find out about the laundromat in our area. We only ever use the two washers/dryers next door and they SUCK. Since *someone* gave *somebody* juice after 9pm last night, it’s kind of an urgent trip. *smh* Oh well. I just hope that I can do a good amount of clothes for $10 unlike here, where I get to do 3 loads for $9.

I went to my church’s women’s dinner this past Monday. I meant to tell you about it, so I am doing it now! The theme was transformation. The animal was butterfly. There were these cute little pretzel bites on everyone’s plate with a little gummy worm hanging out, representing the cocoon. Then there were all sorts of little sandwiches and treats shaped like butterflies, dirt pudding, and decorations. Everyone got a little homemade butterfly magnet.

We played games like who has the most unusual thing in their purse. I was the runner up! The person who won had a long water thermometer in her purse. Then we played purse scavenger hunt, which was interesting. We also listened to some inspiring preaching from the Diane who is a missionary to Kirlbati near Fiji. I got to fraternize with a lot of ladies from our church and a few other churches.

The food was fantastic, the coffee was good, tea was great. Company was magnificent. The whole thing was very well done. People got prizes for random things like bringing their Bible to the dinner. I received a gorgeous little teacup and saucer set for being there HAHA. I also got to take home lots of fruit and chicken salad *thanks Chris!*. So tasty. I had a great time and I look forward to hanging out with the women again soon!
