Okay so I have a serious problem. I do not have “typical” black hair. What does that mean? Well, even if it is picked and teased it won’t stand up straight. It does not like twists. It doesn’t lock, even if you roll around on a bed with it out, it just breaks. I don’t have tight little curls. I have the beginning of a curl that turns into a wavy curl as it gets longer, hence the reason I cannot fro my hair. It takes to the flat iron VERY well and always comes out lovely when I use it.
I like my curls, but it is going to take a LONG time for my hair to get long enough for me to even consider having it out in all its truly natural *glory*. I have 3 lengths of hair right now, so it’s definitely not a good look. I am resolved not to do any more drastic cuts on it.
Products: Dove Intensive Care (dark blue), Wave Nuveau Moisturizing Lotion (left over from when I had Wave Nuveau in my hair), hair strengthener and leave in conditioner.

well do not get discouraged, sis. it may take a “clip” for your hair to get used being completely natural again. also, be mindful of the commercial products you use and your hair is used to, which may give a “relaxed” effect to the hair. just keep those ends clipped, your hair well moisturized, and put as little heat to it as you possible can. most of all, remain positive that with the right amount of care the breakage will cease and you will be able to let your hair roam naturally free, in all its glory!
