I can’t even tell you about all the food available over the weekend. The local fare, the care package in the hotel, the hors d’ ourves at the wedding banquet, the catered barbecue. It was a little overwhelming. If I had known there would be THAT much food I might have made sure to eat some sure fat burners before I got there.

The wedding feast brought clams, scallops in bacon, quiche, fruits, salads, dips, shrimp, and all kinds of little things that could be eaten quickly. There was plenty of wine and spirits from the time you walked in to the time the party ended. Then there was the dinner! Fabulous, melt in your mouth sea bass was my entree. My husband got the filet mignon, well done of course. He said it was one of the best he has had. I don’t like asparagus, but I found out how much each plate was costing in passing and so I ate everything that was edible on my plate. Waste not, want not.
The picnic on Saturday afternoon was catered by a local clambaker called Captain Clamcakes. I didn’t have their clams (I abhor them) but their burgers and fresh salads were good. Their workers were a bit too fond of my nephew, but who can blame them?

Since we left earlier than we thought we would, I didn’t get a chance to clean the house so I wouldn’t have to do it when I got back. *sigh* Well, I think it will have to wait till tomorrow. I have so much stuff to catch up on that I can’t see clear to thoroughly cleaning the toilets right now. I am totally overwhelmed. I will probably throw the dishes into the dishwasher just so I can feel like I cleaned the kitchen.

that’s how we got to the wedding from our hotel. I looked up the site for the service they came from, hoping to find a picture. Alas, there are none. The service was Rockstar Limo. The driver we had was friendly and very quick about his job. It was nice to not have to worry about how to find the wedding spot. It was pretty remote and back in the woods.

But not for long. We have a trip coming up to go to the Poconos on Saturday, Canada next month, and who knows…we might end up looking at cruise deals before the end of the summer. We had a more than awesome time together up in Rhode Island. The wedding was great, even though it tried to rain on us. The food melted in your mouth. The entertainment was impeccable. I have so much to say and not enough words to speak it all out. I have a heaping load of pictures, too.
Stay tuned!
