I can’t even tell you about all the food available over the weekend. The local fare, the care package in the hotel, the hors d’ ourves at the wedding banquet, the catered barbecue. It was a little overwhelming. If I had known there would be THAT much food I might have made sure to eat some sure fat burners before I got there.

wedding and reception
The wedding feast brought clams, scallops in bacon, quiche, fruits, salads, dips, shrimp, and all kinds of little things that could be eaten quickly. There was plenty of wine and spirits from the time you walked in to the time the party ended. Then there was the dinner! Fabulous, melt in your mouth sea bass was my entree. My husband got the filet mignon, well done of course. He said it was one of the best he has had. I don’t like asparagus, but I found out how much each plate was costing in passing and so I ate everything that was edible on my plate. Waste not, want not.

the picnicThe picnic on Saturday afternoon was catered by a local clambaker called Captain Clamcakes. I didn’t have their clams (I abhor them) but their burgers and fresh salads were good. Their workers were a bit too fond of my nephew, but who can blame them?the picnic
