Went out with a … thunderbolt?

So last night we decided to head to my mother’s house for some family fun and fireworks. My husband had to work *pout*, but my son and I drove over around 3. We had a good time with my mom, sisters, and father… and we decided to get ourselves over to the county fair to have the boy ride rides and then watch the fireworks.

There was no shortage of dust, people, and used Harleys! The boy went on a good number of expensive rides and attractions. Their tickets were a dollar a piece, and they didn’t give you any free ones for buying in bulk *gasp*. The main thing is that 21$ later, he had all the fun he wanted to have, saw some awesome fireworks and got stuck in the rain and lightning.

We were totally soaked! Thankfully, the rain waited until after the fireworks were done before they started. It was great timing for the fair, too, since the rain didn’t really start to pour until about 45 minutes before closing time.

Even with a minor glitch in the works (my son and his cousin got into a cousin-provoked fight), we had a great time. Pictures to come later.
