Well after all the preparation and waiting, my husband did NOT get to fight after all. Why? Well everyone ran scared. 3 people were interested, 2 of them backed out sight unseen. The last one saw him and was too scared to fight. Can you believe that? This innocent man couldn’t POSSIBLY look THAT intimidating, right? His reputation for not being submitted or easily put into any type of move couldn’t have proceeded him THAT quickly, right? Now his teacher says we might have to go out of state to find him an opponent. GEEZ!!! Come to find out, the last guy has fought him in class before so he already knew he was doomed to lose. He submitted that guy in like 30 seconds, so I guess the guy didn’t want any more of that. I remember the day that guy came to class. He looked like a novice. I want someone more challenging…a worthy opponent… or he will never be satisfied.

I’m feeling their chicken-ness - from here! States and states and states away! Hahaha! What weight range is he in? Does this kind of fighting even use weight ranges?

Actually, they do have weight classes. He is 265 so considered a super heavy weight. His class starts at 240. He is thinking about trying to get down to 239 so he can be classed either as heavyweight or super heavy weight, depending on the opponents at hand.

I wish I was a nimble 265. I’m sure someone will step up to the plate.
