Recently I began a mission to record things for posterity in the form of scrapbooks and such. I also wanted to get children’s books with my son’s name in them. I think it’s a good idea to get children involved in what they are reading, and have something they can look back on and feel happily nostalgic. It would go in with his scrapbook. So far, I am nearly finished the one about me, then on to the one about his father. After that I will worry about getting all the digital pictures of him into a book. Fun fun stuff!

Today we had a ridiculous storm that brought our temperature down to under 60 degrees in just minutes. There was a tornado watch and hail the size of quarters, then golf balls, then baseballs, falling all around us outside. I got hit with a few on the way to the car from church. I saw the storm coming when we got there, but had no idea it would be that fierce. The lightning was so crazy that I didn’t want to risk taking a picture of anything. YEEPS! We had crazy flooding. I was really glad we took the truck and not the car or we would have never made it back home! I am just now getting back online. The storms lasted from about 10 in the morning to just an hour ago. We haven’t had hail like that in 9 years. Craziness! One of the congregation said to the pastor “You sure got God’s attention!” LOL!!
