Barack ObamaI watched the last 2 nights streaming online how Barack Obama came from nothing to be the biggest hope for our new President. I watched him and his family on the screen as they expounded on their hopes to change our world forever.

I have never seen Obama as a color, but as a man who has lived through the toughest of times and has had enough. I have never been anything other than a Democrat. My father always says “poor people can’t afford to be Republicans”…literally. I have grown up Democrat, cried happy tears when Bill Clinton was elected, sat back nearly hysterical when I watched him crumble, and nearly fell apart when the Republicans regained control.

Obama is our only hope for a viable future. He is in it for the people and not himself. He is truly humble, truly God fearing…you can see it all over himself and his family. They aren’t faking, like so many others. I still have some thoughts about his running mate…but that just makes me pray even harder that Obama stays safe and healthy.

I watched history in the making tonight. Not only did I see the one woman who could beat him out as the Presidential nominee join up with his campaign *last night*, but I saw him accept the nomination *this night* and put the fire into the hearts of the people of America…no matter what race, religion, sexual orientation, or political party. You couldn’t just sit and watch that speech. You laughed, you cried, you applauded, you stood. You could do nothing less.

Barack & Michelle ObamaI am in awe of this man, of his talents, of his mindset, of his potential to actually be all he has set out to be. I am impressed by his honest love for his wife and children. No one could fake that intimacy.

All that is left to say is: register to Vote and VOTE!

May God’s will be done.
