Bucket O' Bulletz

I had to break into our laundry room today because someone neglected to come unlock the door today. The last time that happened, my husband was here to jimmy the lock. Today I was all alone. Just me, a hugemungous screw driver, and a few minutes. VOILA! Open door! I hate doing things like that, but it was either A) do it myself or B) call and wait till someone felt like coming to do it for me. It would be nice if I never had to do it again. It’s not something I enjoy. I am not a breaking & entering kind of gal

I am so uncertain of what is going to happen with the defeat of the 700 billion dollar bailout proposal. The stocks are falling like apples in an earthquake. I am just watching the structure fall around me with no real way to do anything about it. I pray. I pray that we will all be okay. This is so scary! To have the threat of another “Great Depression” looming over our heads…thinking about the soup lines and all the crazy things that happened during that time. The history reads just like what is going on right now. What happened? I still don’t understand how exactly, save the unnecessary war, we got into this predicament again.

May God help us all.

Happy that my back pain has subsided for a while. My goodness! It felt like someone jammed swords under my left shoulder blade and just left them there! I hate when the weather flares my old injuries. That is from the car accident I had in 1998. It is still tender, so I have to be extremely conscious of how I sit, stand, walk, whatever today as to not reaggravate the searing, burning, stabbing pain.

Yesterday, I went on a mini date with myself and got a frappucino while doing errands. Then me and the man went to the store after he got home from helping move his new dojo. We ate dinner out, then came home to relax and watch a movie. Fun!

Today, I am supposed to hang out with a friend from church if she is not still sick *which I pray she isn’t*, and head over to my inlaw’s church for a ceremony for my nephew. He is reaching a new level in Royal Rangers, the Assembly of God version of the Boy Scouts.

I am about to go do dishes, take a shower, and get dressed to head out the door. I am continuing membership classes at my church so I have to be there early.

Praise the Lord! My phone service has been restored! I am talking to my mom on the phone right now and taking my time doing it !! YAY. Turns out, our modem for the phone got fried in the last huge lightning storm we had, and our configuration with the phone company was wrong. They fixed it this morning after a phone call and 4 emails to the tech guy. Now I can relax in knowing I have another way to speak to the world again. WHOOOOOOHOOO!!! I’m excited.

For years I have heard about families gathering around their tables at the holidays and enjoying the dishes so lovingly prepared by the members. One favorite I am always curious about is the famous green bean casserole. I was not brought up in a family that made this for any occasion. I have even heard people in my family say that ABHOR the very appearance of this casserole. I am nearly tempted to make it this year just to see if anyone eats it.

What else is on my menu? Well, I am thinking of doing something special by way of a banana pudding with vanilla wafers. We have never had that at my house. I want to do a special dessert that my son can help prepare *and eat* which means NO milk so I am still thinking of what that will entail besides jello. Suggestions?

But it needs new batteries. I was always in the general area of the bible, but I never put it together in my head that the thing could have been inside my knitting case. Lo and behold, I go digging for knitting notions and find amongst the yarn my long lost electronic bible! YAY!! Thank the Lord! I really thought I was going to have to tell my sister in law that I lost her 100$ present. The last time I used it, it was while I was knitting (last winter), so I thought it was with my other notions. I mean, I only have like 3 places I put them. So glad that in digging a bit deeper into my knitting things I found it. I prayed more than once that I would..it was more of a constant prayer that it would be recovered. Thank you Jesus!

Tonight we are going to watch Speed Racer as a family. I love family nights. No one judging you. No one is getting on another’s nerves. No one is saying you look fat and need diet pills… just good old fashioned loving fun. I am drinking a lovely cup of caffeine coffee and having a nice night. My sister, who is a huge Speed Racer fan loved the movie, so I guess it’s got to be good. Gnite to all my lovely readers. <3 !!
