We keep seeing these fruit flies EVERYWHERE. There is no fruit, nor any rotting food in my house. We take out some form of trash every day. I found out it’s not us. It’s THEM. There are a bunch of wild blackberry trees that flank the side and back of my apartment building. Apparently, the flies are being drawn to all the overripe berries and staying for a visit in people’s apartments. They are supposed to be cutting down the trees, as well as filling in a ditch back there that is drawing huge amounts of mosquitoes to our area. Thankfully, I am not outside enough for the mosquitoes to affect me, but the fruit flies are definitely annoying. I mean, you go to take a sip of your favorite mug of whatever only to find a fly sitting on the edge of your cup. BLECH!!! Or even worse, it’s fallen in, and ruined your good time. I hope they all leave soon.

I named my guitar Leila. I didn’t know why that was the name I chose. She is sitting over in her carrier all nice and comfy right now. I kept thinking maybe that name came to me because of one my favorite songs…but everytime I thought about the name, I would get a last name that popped into my head.
Come to find out, the last name was that of my great grandmother on my mom’s side. Her name is the one that kept popping into my head and she is the real reason my guitar is now named Leila.

I think I have a few of the seven dwarves lurking around my house …or at least inside my head. These allergies are kicking my butt! It’s cold in my house, too. I don’t know that this is helping me. *sigh* I just love the change of the seasons. I am too cold to eat so I certainly won’t need any weight loss pills! All I have been doing is drinking tea, coffee, and cocoa like there is no tomorrow. I am thinking about getting my cold self up and fixing myself a cup of green tea right now.
