I AM A GOOD WIFE.

Oh and did I tell you how old I feel right now? I’m ready to hop on the senior life insurance train! I keep seeing these kids who used to be shorter than the coffee table who are now almost as tall as, if not taller than, me. It’s like time stood still for me, but kept on trucking for them. I don’t know what to say other than getting older isn’t easy to watch, let alone do. My own child will be six in a matter of weeks. *sigh*

I will be doing my I AM post in a minute, even tho it’s a day late.

My sister in law had the Christmas party at her house again for the 2nd year in a row. The thing is, most of her house is carpeted. I bet she wishes she had wood flooring. Carpet is terrible to try and get clean, especially light colored carpet after a party with loads of foot traffic, food, and presents being unwrapped. Poor sister in law. She was staring at all that had to be cleaned and just shaking her head, or twitching from exhaustion. I couldn’t really tell which.

We had such a good time. On the 23rd, we opened all our family presents. On the 24th, we headed over to my mom’s early in the morning to spend the entire day with her and the rest of my family. That night, we headed over to the in-law’s house to rest up and spend time with them the next day. Everyone met for the party on the 25th at my sister-in-law’s house. We ended the night by coming home and collapsing in the living room What a great Christmas. You can see most of the pictures and videos from our wonderific Christmas here.

Got a sample of Kinky Curly Curling Custard the other day and fell in total love. My son’s hair looks fantabulous, even after sleeping on it. My hair looked great yesterday and I refreshed it a bit today .. it still looks good. The husband agrees, so we are BUYING this stuff next week when he gets paid *woot!*

So what is it that this stuff does? It defines actual curls and waves. It makes your hair do what it does, but better. Sure, it’s 26 bucks a can, but you don’t use a lot. I got a 1.5 oz sample and have used it less than half to mess around in my hair and my son’s hair.

I have to get rid of a few things in my repertoire of hair care, though, now that I am going KCCC. It doesn’t work that great with silicones or any cones. Mind you, I am using them and have the KCCC in my hair, it’s working well…but I just know it could be better. So, I am switching to these types of products:

Suave Naturals *shampoo / conditioner * OR White Rain Naturals
Olive Oil *actual, not the sheen*
WATER!!! *It’s not the enemy anymore*
Fantasia Frizz Gel *sparingly and only when needed*
and of course Kinky Curly Curling Custard

I will still do roller sets with the Organics Olive Oil setting foam stuff, but that’s when I won’t be using KCCC. Just something to change up the styles.

I can hardly contain my glee.

I was blessed to get a bottle of Green Tea diet supplements, but I am scared to death to try them. Why? It’s not like I don’t drink green tea all the time. I am just wondering what the concentrate in a glass of juice is going to taste like/do to me. I mean, if I put it in a cup of tea, won’t that defeat the purpose? Wouldn’t it become like white noise to the green tea itself? I wonder if anyone else has used it and found a large difference between the tea and the supplement.

I am blessed to have a spacious home with warmth and plenty of food.

I am blessed to have hot water and heat in my home.

My husband and I are inside of some crazy stuff going on that is not affecting our peace. Thank the Lord.

I am blessed because there is favor in my house.

I am blessed because I still have a job, even if the money has been cut.

I am blessed to have the family that I have, inside and outside my house.

I am blessed because I have a wonderful church family, too.

I am blessed because I am still alive to enjoy all the bountiful blessings that God has for me.
