The Inauguration is today

I am watching right now. He is in the limo, just fresh from church. I keep praying and praying and praying for his safety. I wish I could have actually been there, but I am glad to be in the land of the living just to watch it at all. You can see it on cnn.com/live or any channel on tv.

Hubby and employment

He filed for unemployment the other day. We are hoping to see that check soon. He got laid off a month ago yesterday due to economic strains on his job. Now we are recalibrating our finances and trying to keep up with our life. We have been dong pretty well thus far. I am just praying that an opportunity comes up that actually follows through to an actual job for him soon. Empty promises really aren’t going to do us much good. The desire of his heart is to get certified for construction and have that on him in order to pursue the job of his dreams.

Online Nurse Degree

One of my good friends is in classes for becoming Nurse. I see how hard it is for her to run back and forth, so I was looking at MS nursing degrees online. She could get her degree online through the virtual classrooms. There is an on campus residency that has to be done, so the entire process isn’t online. I think it’s better that way, so a studying nurse will be fully equipped to handle whatever medical circumstances come her way. They do accept and offer financial aid, which is always a bonus. It’s worth a look, and I will definitely be telling my friend about this program.

The I am not post

Well this week I couldn’t think of anything nice to say about myself so there is no I AM post. Everything I am thinking is something that I need to improve somehow, most of which I am unsure as to how to even try. I wish I was in a better state of mind to be able to peel this post off for you, but I’m not. I guess I will just have to go back and review the posts of what I AM to see if I can maybe bolster myself up again.

… maybe…

Spending the days together

The husband has been home for a few weeks now. It’s been fun and rejuvenating for us to spend so much time together. Our son has greatly benefited from him being around more. We haven’t done very many things apart. I had a thought to make reservations for us to stay at a Westgate type place a pace from here, but family time is so much better!
