Downsizing and Upgrading

SO I have decided to let go of the pbrc website. I am keeping teacup, kingzjewel, this one, bulletproofsoul, taz’s site, and that’s pretty much it. The tech site will have to go soon unless I find the gumption to post there more. I am also keeping my 2 free site based blogs for now.

I upgraded all my sites to 2.7.1.blahblahblah yesterday. Hopfully I won’t have to do that again for a while.

I am contemplating revamping at least 2 of the aforementioned sites to gain momentum in a different direction. I will have to see if I can stave off the anxiety attacks long enough to do it, though.

Gurgle Pop, now what?

I still haven’t begun to pack. Now me and hubby aren’t feeling that great and we still have to PACK. We have less than 2 weeks to get this entire place into little boxes. Everything down to the energy saving light bulbs has to come down. We also have to patch up the small holes in the walls from putting things up and whatnot. It’s a job and we are barely on it. It’s so crazy how calm we are about all of it, too. There is an eerie peace over the whole situation like everything will get done, everything will be fine, and nothing is going to stop that from happening. I thank God for it, because the only anxiety I really have is me hopping my mind up to that level. It’s not because I truly FEEL it in my heart. Weird how my brain tries to take over.

Tired of upgrading software

It seems like there is a new build of everything every few days. It’s really annoying. I am extremely tired of looking at upgrade messages all over just about every website I own. *sigh* At least they are improving things. Always look for the silver lining.

Watching the time roll away

Wow. Yesterday took FOREVER to go away. I mean, my husband wasn’t home for most of the day and all of the night before, so it was like Hades for me here. Not even staring into the face of a Hublot Big Bang would have taken my mind off the fact that he wasn’t here. It felt like it should be 2pm when it was only 11am. I was soooo happy when he finally walked through the door, covered in car soot. The truck had been fixed within 20 minutes of getting the part. Getting to the part and acquiring the part took much longer. I was just glad it was inexpensive and easily fixed. Now we can concentrate on other things…like the fact that we only have TWO WEEKS to pack our entire apartment and skedaddle and I STILL don’t have any boxes >_<

Truck trials

Last night, hubby was on his way back from MMA class when the truck decided to break down. Now, this isn’t something major *thank God*. It’s actually very easily fixable in daylight. He had to call his dad to come get him, then he called me to tell me what was going on. Thankfully, the pulley *don’t ask me what that is* just vibrated out from its place because it was loose from the previous owners. All he has to do is reconnect, tighten, and be back on his way home to me. I, on the other hand, have to go get a tire for the blue car since it sounds like there is a flat, but the tire looks okay *mostly. I know it’s broken, so we have to replace it or else!

Searching for smaller furniture

I am looking for some smaller furniture to fit into our new, smaller apartment. It’s definitely not a space where you could add in some home theater chairs and call it a day. It is going to take TIME… I only have 2 weeks! Well, at least I know we can put the big couch in storage till we decide what to do for the smaller apartment. We are just waiting for the finalization of the lease and certificates so we can sign and be done with it. As far as everything goes right now, we are moving in on March 1st. Praise the Lord!

We are such dorks

We got lost coming home from my sister in law’s house the other day. We have made this trip numerous times and never had this problem! LOL! There is a circle on the way where you have to decide where to go, but we were in such intense conversation that we FORGOT which side to get off! HAHA!!! We went around like 6 times and FINALLY figured it out. What a great laugh this will be for a long time to come :D

Saw the apartment

It’s SMALL. We would have to downsize a LOT. You know, I have to say that simpler could be better. I mean, you can’t beat the price for what you get…not that I can see in this area. If we moved to PA then it would be a done deal…but I don’t want to move that far! So, we saw all the rooms, the brand new sinks, fridges, stoves, water heaters and all that. We saw the attics and basements and bathrooms and cabinets. It’s small but it is, by all accounts, a HOUSE with a yard. Today we firm up the details and I am praying that we can just be given the okay to move in by the middle of the week.
