You know, it’s a shame that the two best appetite suppressants I have found are coffee and water. They are both things I either enjoy or have to drink, but I still have to find a way to get my 2300 calories a day in order to keep up with my weight loss. How am I going to do it? I don’t know. It’s only going into my 3rd week at the Y working out. I have to figure this out soon, though, or I will end up my overweight self again.

Going green-er
We are looking into buying ourselves some filtered water bottles. You know, the stainless steel kind with the filter inside. I am tired of the bottle mania that is taking over the world, especially when I look at how much recycling I have per week. It’s mandatory that we consume lots of water, so why not get ourselves into the habit of filling our bottles and keeping them cold? We used to use a little Brita pitcher, but that has since gone the way of the mammoth. Why? Well, the pitcher was way too small and the water would be gone in a few hours. It was a great fit for our fridge, tho, since we only had a tiny one. Now we are looking into the technology that has emerged in personal filtration since. Any suggestions?
Joel Osteen re: Saturday
WOW What an amazing day I had. First, I went to the Redeeming Roses banquet at church. Then I went home to get ready and head off to the Joel Osteen Night of Hope in the New Yankee Stadium! The saddest part was when we were held up in traffic because people were gaping at the accident that stole 5 lives, injured 3 others, and caused mayhem on the south bound lanes of the turnpike. The most joyous was seeing Joel Osteen in tears overcome by the awesomeness of what he has done with God on his side. Just amazing. I have pics to come.
Ministry moving forward
You know, the last 3 days were pretty awesome. Friday night, our ministry was in Vineland ministering to our old church for their Master’s Commission. Last night, we were all in a church in Bridgeton where we had a 2 hour concert and showcased new songs. We also talked about our ministry and garnered support for what we are doing. Today, husby and I had been asked back to speak and minister through song for the church’s teen Sunday. I tell you, I wouldn’t get any faster if I had jobs in sales. It’s amazing how quickly God can work. I am so proud to represent the King of Kings in all that I do! God is so good.
I dreamed a dream
in time gone by….
I have been wanting to be a Broadway star for as long as I have been singing. I have never taken the opportunity to even try. I can’t dance very long because my knees are very annoying. I used to be able to push through the pain. Now that I am pushing up in age, it’s harder to do. I am so hurt that I am not able to pursue this dream. I just got rid of a bunch of arias and musical scores that I will never use. I have all but given up the dream and hope of becoming that girl.
What killed it?
Time.
Bad choices.
When I had the time, I didn’t do it. Now that I am a Christian and married and have a child, it’s a done deal. I have to do God’s will in all things, especially when it comes to my family. I can’t sacrifice my son’s life for my dreams. I can’t sacrifice our family for my wants.
…the dream I dreamed.
Glad to veg
The boy went with his grandparents to go camping, so me and the man are here alone. The thing is, I don’t feel very well so I have not been doing much other than lazing around in my bed and watching old movies. It feels good not to have to do anything much, but I wish I didn’t feel so bad while doing it. This morning I needed to wash my hair, but I still didn’t so I braided my hair randomly over the course of an hour. The results are baffling. I look a bit like Coolio, but I don’t really care. I had nowhere to go and no one was coming to see me.

This isnt easy
PHEW! Getting back into shape is not the most fun thing in the world. I go through this binge every year. I get off my hibernation horse and jump on the fitness bandwagon. My mother is more likely to stick this out than I am. She has been on the treadmill and walking an hour a day. She looks fabulous! I am proud of her. My sister in law is trying one of the cheap fat burners that you can get on the market with some type of berry in it. She has been using it for about a week, so the results are not in as to whether or not they work. Gotta love spring fever!
Happy birthday to me
So yesterday was my birthday *since it’s after midnight i have to call it, right?* … and we decided on this rainy day that we would head over to MD to go to the aquarium. We never got there because we called and found out they were full up, so we watched a movie instead. It was Monsters vs. Aliens, which was mediocre at best. This is after our mediocre lunch at the nasty ghetto Wendys. ICK … and all this in the rain. The rain did finally subside and we headed back home to watch some MMA fights on tv and catch up on emails.
I have to doubly thank everyone who called, emailed, facebooked, myspaced, ninged, texted, or got hold of me somehow to wish me a Happy Birthday. That meant a heaping lot to me.
I also have to thank my buddy Vonnie for giving me a sweet card & some money toward the laptop I want. What a doll! God really has blessed me with some very amazing friends.
Today, I get to be at church and do the tomb scene with my fellow choir goers, get cake at my mom’s house, and have brunch after church. Should be fun!
Thanks again everyone! I LOVE YOU ALLLLL!!!!!!!
