We had a heap of fun at my little sister’s baby shower. The food was fantastic *another thank you to the husband for manning the grill*, the company sublime. We had a ball. I have pictures but have not posted them yet. I know, I suck LOL But they will be on my flickr shortly. Lots of things went on this weekend. I am going to need to get on the best diet pills to get all this impending fat off my body if I don’t stop eating so much food! Event after event, you tend to start wishing for fruits and salads to be present everywhere you go. Luckily, this event had all the forms of salad I could eat, including fruit salad *put together by yours truly*. The shower was tropical theme, and it was really a lot of fun. Congrats to my little sister for being only within a few weeks of seeing her little boy!!!

I am still dreaming of my netbook. To make matters worse, my niece got one for her graduation present from her man. I think it’s great that he was so thoughtful and bought her one, knowing she would need it. I mean, I have a computer that is comparable to Sony Vaio, I believe, but I still need to be mobile. The netbook I want is hovering around 300 dollars, but it has EVERYTHING. I see the ones that are not as good go down in price all the time. I just really really really want the one that I want!!! Hubby said in due time, so I am waiting. Maybe that will be my anniversary present in October. How cool that would be! Ah, to dream….

My braids are at the bottom of my neck and curl under a bit now. I am really happy with my progress. You can always catch up with me on my hair blog. I don’t update too often, but when I do, it’s something good. I have been taking my vitamins semi-regularly. It’s hard to keep up sometimes since we have busy schedules. I am tempted to up my vitamin intake to include horse supplements because of all the good strong hair I am getting now. Just imagine how strong and flowing it would be if that were possible! You never see a horse with natural hair that’s straggly and ragged unless they have gone through some sort of trauma. I am just happy that I have healthy hair now, either way.

My mother has been plagued by bed bugs for quites some time. I know scary they can be through her experiences and those of our recent upstairs neighbors. The biting, the itching, the red marks, allergic reactions, and constant search for solutions gets tiring. So when I heard of bed bug encasement, I just had to get it for my mom to try.

My sister was able to try out the large garment bag while she stayed over. None of her clothes left the house affected by the insects. She was all too happy to have something to protect her clothing on her overnight visit.

While the battle for the house is still on, my mother can rest assured that she and my sister can have clothing unaffected by bed bugs. Hopefully they will eventually find a cure for this ill completely.

The only suggestion we all had for the company: add mattress covers to your product line. That would definitely create a stir in the community of those involved in the battle of the bugs.

Well. Not really. The Boy is still here. The Man is in the Bronx fixing our apartment. It’s in a nice area where lots of people go to college. That’s all the clues you get from me. Now go see how many colleges there are in the Bronx and you will realize there is no real way to narrow it down

I have been extremely restless since he left this time. I don’t know what it is. I had a killer migraine this morning and half the day. I finally got myself straightened out after 1pm. Then I did some laundry, some dishes, cleaned the bathroom, mopped the floor, swept… you know, normal stuff. The laundry is all folded and waiting for me to put it away. The Boy was in rare form as he either didn’t want to be with me and stayed to himself, or wanted to be crawling all over me, or running around in mischief. I know he misses the Man.

I guess the stress is getting to me about the move, the ministry, what is and isn’t going well…it’s a lot all at once. We have 2 business meetings on Monday. I have to get his website fixed up and posted. My site is not exactly what I want, but it will do.

Music has to be memorized and perfected, album has to be put together, I have to write my book… the Boy needs stuff. Our home needs stuff. It’s just overwhelming, but I am doing pretty good. Depression about it all is trying to eat my brain, but so far I am surviving.

Pollen count is up today. I could tell when I woke up. My eyes are squinty and kind of dry. I am sneezing, and so is my son. It’s got to be the trees. Tree pollen around here is horrendous, even though there aren’t many trees around. I fathom that there is less tree pollen where my mother lives, really. Ah the joys of summer.
