I don’t usually talk about team sports, but since my husband has inundated me with it lately, I must speak up about the World Series and other things now.

Over the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure of getting excited and disappointed by the performance of the New York teams. The husband has always been an NY fan because this is his home. I could have cared less other than the occasional win by the Philly teams so that I could antagonize him about it. I was surprised to find out that he likes baseball as much as he does, though. I always pegged him for a strictly football/basketball fan. He was disappointed when the LA team lost because he wanted them to get into the World Series with the Yankees. Thankfully, he still gets to see teams battle it out because he abhors the Phillies. I just hope that the Yankees win so he can be happy. Today is our anniversary, and that would be a great gift for him, even if it is not directly from me. I mean, I am PRAYING that they win so he ends on a good note today

As far as the football team goes…well…we are all in shock about the end of that last game. I was doubly shocked because of all the plays that they truly flubbed up in order to lose like they did, especially when BOTH major NY teams were playing on the same night at the same time IN NEW YORK! Craziness!

I will be watching the WS tonight, and hoping and praying that NY wins. Will you?
