Tis the season to get out of school

I have seen so many beautiful prom get ups and lovely grad pics recently. I am excited for the promising future that these kids have. I have been happy to see that they are spreading the love through social networking as well. It’s so cool to see people that are far away get to new levels in their lives. It’s like getting holiday invitations all the time when someone uploads their pictures and videos commemorating their special times. Congratulations grads!!

Fun in the park & graffiti museum

I never knew there was such a thing as a graffiti museum. It brings a whole new perspective to the meaning of modern art. I was in awe of the things people can do with a few cans of spray paint. We were able to see some of the artists at work as we walked through. It’s one of those unforgettable experiences.

We also went to the site of the 1965 World’s Fair today. Talk about awe-inspiring. To think of how awesome it was when it was up and running. I wish it still was. What a testament to the glory of mankind melding together as one? I tell you, the walk around the park will give you a stint of quick weight loss, too. It was huge! Took us 30 minutes of riding around it in circles to find the entrance. Craziness! At least it was well worth the wait. We had a ball.

Chillin at the house

I have been sitting in my apartment all day today doing various things that I like to do. One of which includes reclining on office furniture while playing video games on my PC. Fun stuff. We were supposed to go to the store today, but we decided to go nowhere and just stay home. We have been having a good time being together as a family nearly all the time. Thank God for quality time!

I was mad

the other day because I was trying to use the internet Opera Mini thing on my hubby’s phone to blog while away. O was that a hassle! I wrote this whole long blog post and posted it to this blog only to be disappointed when it didn’t show up! Then I tried to write a small one, and low and behold it showed up!!! Wow….I was so mad LOL! But I guess it’s just something you would have to get used to using in order for it to become an effective tool. I really want more options for quick on the go blogging, so that is what I was trying out. Maybe with a little more practice I will be good at it and use it regularly.

Eventually

I am always thinking about the end of life. Why? Oh, well probably because there are so many things that point to Jesus coming back extremely soon. Yes, even sooner than the first time they said He was returning 2K years ago. There are way more things happening now that fulfill the Bible at every turn. What kind of guaranteed acceptance life insurance can you get with time winding up so quickly around us? Read the Bible, you will find the perfect policy.

My brain hurts

Thinking about my book, the ministry, trying to get things done in decency and in order…my brain hurts a lot. I have a pretty full plate, especially mentally. I have been trying to take it down a notch but things have to be done. Some of them have deadlines. I just keep praying for peace and God’s help so I won’t get overwhelmed and shut down.

Best I ever played

Last night, I got to play my guitar for worship with the youth. It’s the first time I have played without any real mistakes! It was the best I have ever played. I was using my father’s guitar and amp for the first time ever in public. I had such a calm and peace in myself where I am normally jumpy like a jumping bean and unable to get myself together. I thank God that He answered my prayer about it and met me even before I stepped on stage. Thank You Jesus!
