We went to an outreach event in the stifling NY city heat. It was held in the shade of the trees at the park, though, and there was a nice breeze flowing through the place as well. That was truly helpful. The only other thing we could have possibly done to make it any better was to have some chairs with outdoor pillows in them. At least five people gave their lives to Christ, that we know of, and who knows how many were in earshot and also decided to live for Christ without any of us knowing about it. It was so awesome to be there and help with the event. We got to do 2 sets and pray over people. Our son had a great time at the playground behind us. It was all in a ll a phenomenal event. I am seriously looking forward to another one soon!

When it all comes together
We have ministry bookings coming up for the next month and a half
I’m ecstatic! I am so glad things are working out with our ministry, even if most of the things we are doing are in NJ. NY still has to pick up on us, but I am sure that we will have some great things coming up. There are a few in the works right now for NY that I am really excited about. So cool
Moving Day
Guest post written by my buddy Bernardo Graham
Leaving our old home was very sad for both of us, as it was our first home and holds a lot of memories. But, the great part about it is that we got some great people renting the home so we will have an investment property. Our new home is so beautiful and is in an excellent area for schools and crime rates which made it more appealing to us than some of the other homes that we had looked at. Our clear internet and direct tv got connected yesterday and I know my husband was glad because there was a big game on tv tonight that he was hoping to catch after he gets home from work. I really hope we made a good decision with renting and purchasing our new home, but I feel as though having a rental home is always an excellent opportunity for anyone. I really hate to start unpacking out hundreds of boxes, but we have to return our rental truck in the next few days so that does not leave too much time to get every thing unpacked, but it needs to be done soon.
Broken air
Well we have to get another air conditioner. Somehow or other this near new air conditioner broke and we are left with no choice. I am so not excited about shelling out about a hundred dollars to replace something that worked perfectly fine just a few months ago. So frustrating.
We went to Jones beach with our youth group yesterday. We had such a good time! Three of the kids had never been to a beach in their lives. It was fun to watch them discover the awe of the ocean and God’s glorious creation. Our youth pastor had a little cookout picnic at the beach before we headed over to the water. I learned a lot about some of the kids I don’@ normally get to speak with. No one got lost or hurt and the day ended with a trip to wendy’s before we dropped them at their homes.
Where did it go now?
I am so tired of trying to find my cell in the bottom of my purse! I miss having cell phone cases. I haven’t had one in a really long time. I don’t want to buy one, either. Why? Because I know that I will probably lose it somewhere! I can’t keep buying them to lose them. I try to remember to put the phone in my little inside purse pocket, but sometimes I either throw it in there in a hurry or totally miss the pocket when I drop it in. I’m silly…I know
4th fun
This weekend we skipped NY for the Poconos. It was a lot of fun. We stayed in the cabin with our in-laws. The weather was not nearly as hot there as it is in NY, but it was still pretty bad. We spent most of our time inside the cabin sucking up the air conditioning! When we did venture out, though, we had a good time.
Yesterday, we were able to play mini-golf with our son for the first time ever. His cousin came along and they played the whole course, which was more than 15 holes.
We tried for the fireworks, got there too late, and ended up doing a drive-by fireworks tour for all the people in PA who were shooting them off as we drove back. The kids were happy, so that was all that mattered. Got to spend a little time with my bro & sis in law, too, which was nice. We played a fun round of pool at the community lounge before heading back to pack up and go.
Got back in the house around 3am in NY and fell asleep around 4.
I’m glad we took the time to go to the Poconos and celebrate.
New way to smoke alone
Did you ever hear about the newelectronic cigarette? Apparently you get a dose of nicotine with every puff and it does not bother other people nor subject them to your smoke. A friend of mine tried it once and thought it was pretty good. I personally would rather people smoke with it if they insist on smoking at all so I don’t have to smell it or experience it in any way.
