I can’t wait till the day when we actually settle somewhere for a good long while. I have always wanted a stable place where I can have wood swing sets in the back yard for my son and his friends. I have wanted a place to put an herb garden in the window of my kitchen. I have wanted a kitchen island with pot storage overhead. I have wanted a big window in my living room where I could sit and watch the world. I have wanted a large bedroom that I could set up with a mini sala and a bedding area. I have wanted so much more than that…a place to be comfortable and call home. Until that day, I have to accept that we are missionaries for Christ to whomever wherever we are sent. Sometimes we are extremely comfortable, and sometimes we are totally out of our comfort zone. None of it really matters, though…only that we are doing the will of the Father. Thank You Jesus that Your plan and purpose is bigger than ours!

Thomas the train
Did I ever tell you why I don’t like that show? That train is forever doing things or saying things that are wrong, but he gets away with it when he finds a solution to save the day. For instance, when he says something nasty to someone…that “person” may overreact and try to prove him wrong, getting themselves into trouble in the process. Meanwhile, Thomas just happens to come along and save the day. Did he get in trouble for saying something mean to start with?
NO!!!
So he gets praise and awards for saving someone when he is usually the cause of the problem in some way or other. Drives me bonkers!
The next thing you know…
How many places are there to buy things online? I would fathom that there are as many places as there are visible stars in the sky at this point. It’s hard to choose places that are reputable place to buy things of quality online. I only trust a few stores that I know like certain online auctions, mainstream stores, and even some backup not so mainstream stores. What about you?
Another heat wave, another scientist baffled.
I was just reading about another scientist who used to be staunchly anti-global warming but has now recanted his position. After more than five heatwaves in a row, it’s safe to say that we are probably not going to need to pull out any snow boots any time soon. I just wonder how far into fall we are going to continue to have these heat waves…and how harsh a winter we can expect because of this.
