This is man’s work

I never realized just how misogynistic the show “Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys” was till I balled up laughing tonight. The scene was after Rudolph ran away. His mother wanted to come and help find her son, but the father said “No, this is man’s work” and left her there to cry it out with Rudolph’s doe-friend. Oh how I LAUGHED! Insane how these little indoctrinations came through in children’s shows.

Left my son speechless

When I finally walked out ready to go to the reunion with my husband last Friday, my son looked at me with his mouth agape. I asked him what he thought of mommy all dressed up and he said:

Mom… you look AMAZING!

What more can you ask for?

Waiting

is excruciating…

In other news, this coffee is good.

I wish there was a plug in this McDs. It IS a pretty lobby, but plugs for wifi users would be better. A play area would be nice, too.

If I went to Starbux I would have plenty of plugs, but more expensive coffee and a more bored child.

My eyeballs hurt. Fighting off this cold is taking a toll. I hope it lets me go soon.

These nails are awesome, but cumbersome.

I guess that’s it for now. My battery is about to croak on me and I still have to wait 45 more minutes more or less before I can move from this particular area.

Bye bye baby

I am always amazed at the plethora of educational institutions we have, especially in other countries. One of my friends sent her son to a boarding school recently. I am wondering if she was able to take a look at the top boarding school in Britain. It has a really beautiful campus that offers a lot to its boarders.

Cyber Monday without me

Thanks to Black Friday, I was able to do any of my shopping for Christmas rather quickly so I don’t have to do anything tomorrow. It’s a good thing, too, since I am so over the shopping season now LOL! I am happy that we have left over wrapping paper and tape so we don’t have to buy that, either. My son is getting legos and a replacement video game player. He got at least one new video game. I know he will be happy to be able to play his old games again, too.

On the hunt for dress November

Yeah I knew I should have just bought a new cocktail dress when I went to Jamaica, but I didn’t. Now I have to sort through the bargains on bridesmaid dresses, formal dresses, and cocktail dresses so I have something decent to wear tomorrow night. Talk about short notice! I was just going to wear something out of the closet, but apparently cocktail dresses HAVE to be short and sassy. I don’t have short dresses AT ALL. Hoping for a $5 bargain!

Gearing up and planning the ride

We have a gameplan.

Gamestop (local to look around)
….travel to the boonies….
Walgreens (makeup)
Rite Aid (just to look around)
Game Shop (hoping they have some extremely cheap games)
….travel further across the bridge…..
Concord Mall (to look around and watch the carnage)

More than likely will walk away with about 3 to 5 items in hand and lots of laughs for the day.

O Snap the sales are coming

O man… I am keeping my eye on these deals. I especially love to shop Cyber Monday. If anything was missing from my usual list on Friday, Monday takes care of it. This year I am only after 3 items, though, so I am hoping to get them all in one shot, but if not I can still take advantage of Monday’s deals. That’s how I got my awesome camera last year!
