This one is already pretty much planned. Tomorrow begins the 3 to 4 day saga. Then we get a partial day to rest, then we get to move on to Sunday church stuff. Christmas, however, is looking like a time we are going to be in NY the full part of the season into the new year. I hope I get another chance to see my family by then, but only God knows if it will be possible.

The empty table
Every time I go into the dining room, there I see an empty table. I used to have a centerpiece at our old apartment. It was always changed when the hubby would buy flowers, or with the seasons. I loved getting new flowers for the centerpiece. It was a bright spot in my day just to look over and see the flowers smiling back at me. I took good care of them, too…made them last as long as possible. Between fresh flowers I would have some realistic plastic ones, but it still had the same effect. No matter what I was going through, those flowers would always give me a focal point for happy thoughts.
She can’t breathe!
When my son and I decided to brave the busy subway/train system the other day, a lady with a stroller boarded next to us. The stroller was covered in plastic to protect the child against the weather. My son sees it and horror grips his face.
“Mommy! Why is she in plastic? Can she breathe???”
“Of course she can breathe, honey, it’s just to protect her”
“Are you sure she can breathe?” (as he tries in vain to subtly lift the side of the cover to let in more air for the child)
My kid cracks me up.
Sick hubby
Please pray for my hubby. He has been sick for weeks with this cruddy chronic sinusitis. It’s the worst it has ever been since he started getting it. I have to go get him some Silicea to help him out. It’s terrible how swollen his glands got and the level of discomfort he has had. He gets a night off to rest and be alone while me and the Kid go to church for practice tonight. Poor baby. I hope he finally gets some real restful sleep. He hasn’t had much in the last week since this thing has escalated.
I love ( Lie To Me )
Ever find a set of routines that warms you up like an electric blanket on a cold winter night? I have fallen into a pretty nice pattern for at least 4 out of 7 evenings. My family and I usually snuggle up together and watch our favorite shows! The one I am watching with them right now is Lie To Me. It is amazing how true to life these shows can be.
Big Christmas play
I am so proud of my Kid. He is doing a phenomenal job of remember his part for the Christmas play at church. He has to remember all the songs as well as hi part…and there are a few songs that they will be doing with the adult choir a week before their own production. I have a part in the adult choir Christmas concert. Cool stuff. I’m excited.
Too much death
I feel so badly for so many of my friends who are saying goodbye to loved ones. I have heard of too many who have had to plan a funeral in the last few months. My heart goes out to them. It’s so scary to me. I remember when my grandmother passed. Took away my wind. Felt like I was in a vacuum. Horrible. Its something I never want to go through again. My love and prayers to all who have lost!!!
Thanks for dinner sweetie bu
My husband cooked us a lovely dinner of white beans and rice with beef marinated in mojo. Clean plates all around. Thank you, sweetie bu! I am sa-tis-fied <3
