Weight loss 2011

HA! Made you look! I am NOT going on a fitness craze next year. I am not going to make a resolution that I will only keep for 3 weeks after I make it only to fail miserably and crash in flames later on… nope! I have learned my lesson!

Meanwhile, when I get my fitness equipment out of storage and when I actually get to go back to the gym I WILL be getting my body toned up so I don’t end up looking like a marshmallow by the end of 2011. I find that as long as I keep my body in a more toned than not state, I am just fine!

No I’m NOT sick@!

Last night this dumb wanna be cold kept me up most of the night. Thankfully, my throat no longer feels like someone scraped it with a metal fork and dumbed tobasco sauce on it. Today, I am contending with a 1/4 cough, feeling like something is stuck in my throat, and my own thoughts. More humidifier, echinacea, ginger tea, and cough drops and I should be okay health wise in a couple of days. As for my mind, you would have to take a daily journey through it to see what is going on…which is something I am doing right now myself. *check out the link to find out more*

So I am on a treasure hunt

It’s funny how life continually changes on me. One minute, I think we are doing one thing and the next we are doing something totally different. One minute, we have a plan, the next minute God changes everything. It makes for a pretty wild ride. Life is so like glass mosaic tile. Each piece is intricately cut to show one shade of a picture, but when it all comes together it makes one beautiful, spectacular display. I know that when all the pieces of our mosaic are cut and fit together, our lives will be the same. Vivid. Beautiful. Amazing.

Still not quite there

Remember when I told you that my husband spent hours trying to fix my mother in law’s phone? Well it’s still not quite there! I told her to get her phone insurance to give her a brand new iphone so she doesn’t have to deal with the drama anymore. The newer phones have been cured of anything that would hinder a user. I hope she takes my advice!!!

Learning precision

My son has been interested in the delicate, more intricate, pieces of the profession that interests him the most. He is such a great thinker and architect! You should see what he can do with some lego blocks and a little time. I was thinking about getting him micrometers and letting him experiment with the measurements side of building. I know he would drive me insane with measuring EVERYTHING, but it would be a great learning tool for him. What do you think?

The play was great

They get to do it all over again Sunday night, as do I. I am the line prompter. My son is Norman, one of the main characters. His cousin is another main character. It’s crazy how much these kids had to memorize, but they did it and they got through the whole thing with flying colors.
