Missing my scanner

I don’t have my multifunction printer/scanner/copier with me where I am right now. We have been out helping churches, so I have not had all my resources available to me. Thankfully, I can either get something copied across the street or rely on my previous document imaging to be able to see things that I need from my other computer. Three cheers for the marvels of modern technology!

PS those letters I was talking about writing…I wrote 2 of them and sent one already!

Starting a new thing

Well restarting… but it feels good. I used to wake up at least an hour earlier than my son and husband to have a cup of coffee and spend time with God. Now, I am in the place where I can do that again more regularly than I have been in the last two years. I adore the fact that I can get up while the house is quiet and still and hear the voice of God through His Word.

Wishing for a chihuahua

My son is praying for a chihuahua. he is so funny. I know that he really wants one bad. We know good dog training tips for how to get a dog well versed in the ways of the family. The only thing is getting one and getting our landlord to approve it. Ah such is the life of an apartment dweller.

Congrats to Travis!

I knew my buddy could do it, for sure. I knew he was going to make it to Hollywood. He was the very last person to audition for American Idol in New Jersey. I know he will go a long way.

Redo of 2011

I didn’t realize that our 10th anniversary was creeping up on us so quickly. We had planned to redo the whole wedding, invite people that weren’t able to attend the first one due to its extremely short timeline, and just have a great time. It would have been great for us to get one of those all inclusive wedding packages so we could do everything in one gorgeous shot. I know that 2011 has barely begun, but it will take a miracle for us to be able to do it over again at this point. Here’s hoping!

Contacts galore

I have so many contacts in my phone right now that I have to update to my database. I wish that I had the ability to just make it easy on myself and download them, but I don’t. I know that I can put a sim card where the cell batteries are usually located. I hope that I can get one…. or I will just do it the good old fashioned way of having a telephone book and *gasp* writing the numbers down! I know, I know… I’m on a “nostalgia” kick, but sometimes you get tired of EVERYTHING being so automated LOL.

Writing Letters

I am contemplating writing some actual letters on actual paper and sending them in an actual envelope donned with an actual stamp! How 1990s of me! I think it’s a nice gesture and personal touch to actually send real mail nowadays. It takes time, care, and thought to do it. Emails are great, but there’s something about the old fashioned letter that just gives people a great feeling. I remember how I used to see my grandmother more than once a week, but she would still send me letters in the mail. She was always awesome that way. I have a few people on my list, so I hope that they receive my letters with the love with which they are written.
